Vitreous degeneration, myopia

I noticed a slight myopia in my right eye. It has nothing to do with vitreous degeneration and retinal tears right? Because my doctor said I should come back only if there was loss of vision, myopia in this case does not fit right?

Thanks!!

Myopia is a refractive error caused by a eye that is too long for the internal focus of the eye; vitreous degeneration (syneresis) is an aging change of the vitreous gel in the back of the eye.  The latter never causes the former.

Ok right, I spoke with my doctor today. he said that maybe I can be with some degree of myopia and told me to make an appointment to check, but nothing urgent. I just wanna know vitreous degeneration can cause myopia somehow?

Thanks!

I can't answer that question and you should call your ophthalmologist and ask him/her.
