Keep watching you eye. You are right to do so. Just because one never knows. My daughter's retinas detached at 18, and none of her doctors had told me that she had lattice, also/ Get educated, be aware, be an advocate for your self.
I would recommend you see an Eye MD to have this checked again should symptoms of light flashes persist, sudden increase in floaters, especially a rush of pepper-like floaters or the appearance of a curtain in your peripheral vision. Make sure to get your questions answered when you see your doctor. It is hard, because of our emotions about our eyes, to ask questions. If you cannot ask questions after he reassures you that you are OK, make another appointment just for questions.
Stay on top of things, but enjoy your young life, also.

1. Can't tell, different for differnt people. 2. Depends on the rest of the eye. Many other conditions predispose to RD: previous cataract surgery, high myopia, previous trauma, family history, etc.
