Strange eye movements?

Hello,

Sometimes - very rarely - when my eyes are stressed and tired, and I look at something up close, my eyes shake side to side really quickly for a few seconds until I look away and close my eyes to make it stop. I've had this for a couple of years and it's not really bothering me. Is this nystagmus and if so, should I get it checked out? I'm 17 y male and slightly shortsighted.

This has been answered.  You need to see an ophthalmologist.  However, I doubt this is a serious problem at your age.
