1 Use of atropine that hasn't worn off.
2. Damage to the nerves that constrict the pupil due to the surgery, buckle, etc. A blown pupil is not uncommon after that type of surgery. Hopefully it will recover over the next several months.

What can cause a pupil to dilate and stay dilated even under light 5 weeks post op from a retinal repair (2 tears) and vitrectomy? Had previous vitrectomy 9 years ago in same eye as well as retinal tear repair 4 months prior to March surgery. History of Krills, dry macular degeneration and vitrectomy in both eyes due to massive floaters.
