You know it depends on many things, your age, your risk factors (smoking, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, overweight, family history), the results of your physicial exam. You will need to follow your physician's advise. If the "eye doctor" was a MD eye physician ophthalmologist then I would accept a "normal eye exam" finding but if you saw a non MD optometrist then I would not.

Thanks for the reply. The Eye Dr. would have noticed any desease of the eye correct? If the ultrasound is clear should I persue this further? Will the carotid ultrasound show anything to do with brain or heart or blood vessels? It is just focused on the carotid arteries right? The original reason I went to my MD in first place was dizziness. Would appreciate your thoughts....
Yes, besides migraine it could be disease of the heart, brain, blood vessels or eye.
