Nitika its time to see an eye MD ophthalmologist.
JCH MD
Hi Sir,
I have recently observed that my left eye is bit smaller in size & blinks much faster than the right eye. I noticed it in my recent engagement pics. It has developed recently & was not earlier. It has started worrying me as i'm about to get married next year. Would request for your suggestions to correct the same.
I live in India & have not contacted any doctor so far.
Thanks , Nitika Kaul
The main question for you to ask yourself "Is my vision a problem for me and is it keeping me from doing the things I need to do and the things I want to do". If the answer is yes then you might proceed although we don't operate eyes that close together. We wait till the person's eye is "healed and the person happy" that usually takes about 4 weeks.
Anyway if you are unhappy then no reason not to go ahead, however if you are happy or okay with your vision and doubt that you need cataract surgery then get a second opinion.

I am scheduled for cataract surgery in April (each eye 2 wks apart). I know the right one needs it as it has been blurry for some time. The left, to me, has great vision. I passed all the eye chart tests except when the tech shined a bright light in my eye. That, she said, would suffice to enable me to have cataract removal according to Medicare standards. I had always heard that cataracts had to be "ripe" before being removed. Will it be detrimental to have this one removed now? I do have faith in the doctor, but it does seem odd since other doctors never mentioned that eye's cataract, only the right one. Thanks.
1. Did you see an MD ophthalmologist?
2. Where do you live?
3. what are the drops? what is the supplement?
4. The concern is that the eye may appear smaller if one eye lid is falling down (ptosis), or the other eye lid going up (eyelid retraction as in Grave's disease), if the eye itself is being pushed out or pulled back there can be problems of a serious nature in the eye socket.

I would get a second opinion from an Eye MD ophthalmologist, NOT AN OPTOMETRIST.
Ideally a oculoplastic surgeon or neuroophthalmolgoist. If you live in the USA (which I doubt from your reference to an optician) find one at www.aao.org or elsewhere ask your personal MD for a referral.
This is a potentially serious problem.
