Probably the most serious complication is an RPE tear, which can lead to dramatic vision loss. Most PEDs are vascular in nature and so I would consider an anti-VEGF injection ASAP.

RPED can be extremely serious if it is near or under the macula or is associated with choroidal neovascularization.

You should be under the care of a retina Eye MD. Treatment varies from doing nothing to using VEGF injections into the eye.

Use the search feature as there are multiple discussions on RPED.
