Fresh verses Frozen?

Can anyone tell me which is better?  I am in the middle of our first cycle with donor eggs (she is 33 and my cousin) I am 47.  I had a polyp removed after our first scans and have now been told that I will have to wait 6 weeks and the all embryos will be frozen, I am disappointed that we can't do a fresh embryo transfer but does anyone know any stats on this?  Donor having 2nd scan today so will find out how follicles are growing.
Was on IVF at the age of 43 with own eggs but unfortunately didn't work.  I had 6 attempts with only fresh embryos as I never had any to freeze.  All info will be greatly recieved!

My typing tonight is full of typos!  You might in fact do better this way, not "to" better this way.  :)

I've heard that frozen embryos do better, which information I really paid attention to because it sounded somewhat paradoxical.  The freezing and thawing are better now, and apparently the success rate with embies that have been frozen is now better than fresh.  I wouldn't worry.  You might in fact to better this way.

I don't know what the stats are.  But I can tell you from personal experience that my fresh cycle didn't work and my frozen cycle did.  And we only had one little embie survive the freeze/thaw process, so were only able to implant one during the frozen cycle.  And now I am 10 weeks pregnant!  I also have two friends whose fresh cycles didn't take, but got pregnant during frozen cycles.  Best of luck to you!

I know there have been women on here with successful frozen cycles. I have a friend at work who is currently 4 months with a frozen embryo.  I unfortunately was successful with my first fresh, but miscarried twins at 10 weeks. Then I did 2 frozen cycles with no success.

I personally think you need to think positive if that is your only option and try not to look at the stats.  I think the stats say fresh is more successful, but again many people have gone on to have healthy babies from a frozen transfer.

Best of luck to you!
