Women of Strength!!!

A Strong Woman VS. A Woman Of Strength

A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape…
But a woman of strength builds relationships to keep her soul in shape.

A strong woman isn't afraid of anything…
But a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of fear.

A strong woman won't let anyone get the better of her…
But a woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone.

A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future…
A woman of strength realizes life's mistakes can also be unexpected blessings and capitalizes on them.

A strong woman wears a look of confidence on her face…
But a woman of strength wears grace.

A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey…
But a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! =)  My last RE appt went great!  We were so surprised with our u/s because we could see our babies' heads, bodies w/beating hearts, arms, legs & fingers!  It was amazing.  I uploaded a pic & also a pic from my day shopping with my mom.  We went shopping for maternity clothes & I was told that since I was a size small pre-pregnancy, I would wear a small in maternity clothes.  Well, I told you all I've thickened up quite a bit & the smalls just wouldn't fit!  haha ;)  But I got lots of great work clothes & we had a fun day together!

sbumblebeeo:  Thanks!  I'll check her out ;)  How are you feeling?

luvkayln:  Happy 24 Weeks!!! =)  It's good to know I can always pump if it doesn't work, so at least they're getting breast milk either way, but I will defnitely give it a try! ;)  Thanks for the info on the nipple shields.  I have heard about bleeding and cracking... Thank God it's a -3-day weekend =)  dh will be putting up our picket fence after painting the pickets last weekend.  There's almost 200 of them, so it took a while.  Hopefully he'll be able to get it done this weekend so we can move on to another project.  Each project is one step closer to the babies' room! =)  Have fun shopping with your mom!  That's always fun =)  Can't wait til Tues.   What time's your appt?  Mine isn't til 1:45. So, will you get a flu shot and/or swine flu?  My ob had told me she'd give me both.  I didn't think anything bad about either, but let me know what you know.  She told me that if I get flu-like symptoms or if I'm around anyone with them, to contact her right away to get Tama-flu because swine flu is so dangerous for a pregnant woman.  You would basically be in the hospital on a respirator...  I'm interested in learning what you've heard.

Keyan:  Wow, 6?!  I can't imagine.  Haha ;)  I agree that my body will probably produce what is needed.  My whole body has changed so much, so I can imagine what's to come ;)  I'm so happy to hear your hot flashes are minimizing!  That's awesome & puts you one step closer to ttc! =)

Hannah:  How'd your appt go yesterday?!

Keyan- Thanks for the note this morning! :) Congrats on no more hot flashes, yay!! I'll be able to say the same for myself soon, haha!! No, actually the plaque I'm referring to on the dresser my dad made is on top above the mirror. It's actually a black plaque with gold writing on it that says "Kayln Elizabethe Stegeman, Living eternally in our hearts." It's very sweet, and Addy will definately learn the meaning of it and know she has a big sis in Heaven! I know you're in a "hurry up and wait" process right now, but hopefully the waiting won't be for too much longer and you'll get right back to ttc! :) Glad to hear the weather is going to be cooling down for you this weekend! It definately has been here, and I love it! :)

Mommyin10- Happy 10 weeks! :) I'm glad to hear you're willing to give breastfeeding a shot! :) It's definately worth it at least to try, I can only imagine how feeding 2 would be! You probably won't even have time to pump, you'll just be constantly feeding! ;) Hey, one for each side, right?! Haha!! ;) They say you should for at least the first 6 weeks b/c it builds their immune system up faster, but if anyone could handle it for 6 weeks then you should be able to keep going b/c you're used to the pain. Now they make nipple sheilds b/c I've heard stories where women's nipples have cracked and bled from breastfeeding, yikes! I bet the nipple sheilds will really help reduce some pain, ya know?! Only 4 more days till our next appointments! ;) Any plans for the weekend? Mom and I are going shopping on Saturday for guess who???? Haha! ;) Macy's is having a sale and they have adorable baby clothes, can't wait! :)

dnikki- Happy 16 weeks! :) Awww, poor ds! :( Hopefully he starts to feel better soon! I saw your thread going about the n1h1 vaccine... I was all for getting it until I kept reading people's posts! Now I'm a little hesitant, but I'll definately ask my doctor about it on Tuesday and see what she says. Are you going to talk with your doctor about getting it too?

Mrspace- How are you doing? Haven't heard from you in a while! Hope all is well! Take care!!

Hannah- How'd your appointment go yesterday?

Stacey & Candie- Always thinking about you both! :)

Good Morning!!

Dnikki: How is DS doing? Hope he is feeling better. Congrats on your doppler, hopefully you will be enjoying your 2 days off trying out the doppler a few more times!! Weather here is warm, getting better. We are expecting lots of rain this weekend, starting tomorrow, so that will help to chill a little more the climate! just a couples of more weeks until you find out if is a boy or girl!! how exciting!!

Luvkayln: I love your new profile pic!! On the dresser I think you can see an Angel with its hands in form of a prayer, is that the plaque you refer Grandpa made for Kayln? Everything you made for your little girls look awsome, very pretty!!

Mommyin10: I don't have any experience of breastfeeding, but I do hear and read the most important thing is patience. I also beleive your body will produce as much milk as your babies need. I was watching a show about a mom breasfeeding for 6 !!! she was producing lots of milk...of course she was bottle feeding and probably mixing formula and breast milk, but still, it shows that your body reacts to the needs of your new born or multiple new born!

Stacey: I am so happy your home and Jake is doing great!! Congrats!!

slumblebeeo: Sorry you haven't felt good. Hopefully the med change will help and you start feeling better!!

Candie: IS Almost Friday!!! and on to a loooong weekend!! ;o)

Not much going on with me...I haven't been feeling the hot flashes as much as I did before, so that means good news!!! so far, just hanging!!

Hey look up momofthreecrazykids.  She is a friend on my page and a few others but she has a set of twin girls that she breastfed until they were over a year old.  Then she got pregnant with her newest baby.  It is very possible that you will produce enough for two and if not and each one gets some than I think it will be just fine.

Thanks!  That's good to know ;)  I saw online there are all kinds of twins breastfeeding pillows, etc, so I know it's possible! lol =) I've also been told not to beat myself up if it doesn't work (that goes with one baby or two).  So, we'll plan on trying and see how it goes!  I appreciate all the advice I can get, so thank you =)  I hope ds is feeling better.  Poor guy ;(

sbumblebeeo: I felt aweful off of Zofran, but my stomach pain and constipation went completely away. To me I would have rather thrown up then to go through that type of uneccesary pain again! I got sick 1-2 times a day and I avoided any place that had smells lol!! When I hit about 12-13 wks, I was absolultely fine. Granted, I still can't go to the grocery store lol, but I'm fine to eat and such. I still can't gulp down water even though I feel so thirsty all the time, but I can drink it well and not get sick anymore. I hope you feel better soon!

Mommyin10: My SIL had twins July '08 and she breasfed them both for a bit. But with her first son, she had issues and didn't make enough milk. The docs I think finally told her she needed to give them formula b/c they just weren't gaining enough weight. But that's her. She didn't make enough milk for one let alone 2. I'm sure there are many who have twins and successfully breasfeed though! Or at least you could pump and mix whatever you get with formula that way they are getting some extra anitbodies and nutrition from you :-)

Holy Crow!!! I took ds to the sitter this morning and I laid on the couch about 10 and fell asleep for 3 freaking hours!!! WOW! It felt sooooooo good though lol :-) Babysitter and I are thinking ds may have allergies at the moment instead of a cold - apparently the news was saying how bad the pollen and ragweed are right now...We went ahead and gave him a small dose of children's benedryl. Hopefully it helps the poor little man :-) Check in soon - I'm off today and tomorrow!!!
