?? about lupron protocol w/ ivf

Has anyone stayed on Lupron after you start stims?  I'm on day 5 of Gonal F and my doctor is keeping me on it, but I don't know for how long.  I have done 6 IUI's prior to this IVF and I have never stayed on Lupron past day 3 of stims.  Does this sound normal?

Lupron does not affect follicle production for most people although some women had bad reaction to Lupron in terms of side effects.  The important thing is that you do not O before retrieval or else you will have to start all over again.

I didn't do IUI just jumped right to IVF. But with IVF and lets remember I have PCOS so I'm not the best to compare to. They got 13 eggs, and 12 matured, 6 fertilized with ICSI and I transferred 2 5 day blastocytes. I'm 10 wks pregnant now on the first try with a singleton.

I was afaid of the sam thing but I too was on the LUPRON until I did my trigger. Believe me it all works out.

I am a late o'er, even w/ the trigger??  Do you think this will make a difference?  I'm just afraid it will suppress me too much.  Also, will this make me produce less follicles?

I stayed  the whole time.  Lupron prevents you from O'ing before your retrieval.  I stopped Lupron after the trigger.
