Any reaction to Puregon? Symptoms, side effects and results.

I can honestly say I should be committed. I have been TTC for 6.5 years, been going to specialist for 6 months, he says there is nothing wrong with my husband and I. Have had two surgeries, countless blood tests, HCG, clomid, femara who knows what else for 6 cycles now...and one IUI. The IUI did not take and since I am certifiable, I had the nerve to ask the doctor if there was really sperm when I had it done or if this is just a huge money making ploy. He was floored, and after I realized what I had said I'm like "just kidding". Not Good.

Today I had my first injection of Puregon, what should I expect? I have read the symptoms, side effects my Re said not to worry and watned me about the chance of multiples said there was a 15% chance, the IUI was a 20% chance and I didn't even get one so I'll take my chances, not worried at all. When I called to tell my husband his response was, "What how many is he talking about?" He sounded freaked, LOL, it was funny.

Seriously what happens next do I go on clomid, femara, get an HCG shot have an IUI done? Do I gain weight, hair on my chest, more mood swings?

HELP.

I have just finished an IVF cycle with puregon and have had amazing success with the drug.  Yes there were some small side effects (bloating and swelling were the most noticeable with a few days of headaches), especially near the end of the cycle.  I used Luverex as well in combination with the Puregon.  I ended up with over 15 follicles that were usable after 10 days on the drug.  The benefits outweigh the negatives with this one.  I wouldn't worry about the what next question - just work with the Puregon for now and don't worry about the next step.  Chances are really good that the Puregon will work for you.  Good luck!

i'm on puregon and had no side effects at all not even weight gain or bloating, but i guess everyone is different, and good luck in your ttc adventure, i doubt that you would go back to clomid tho cause they try that first and since puregon is a follicle stimulating hormone that's used in higher doeses for egg stimulation in ivf. and they usually would give the trigger shot along with using puregon
