Big Ol belly looks preggo and I actually LOST weight

Hello everyone!

You know I'm always paranoid (hence the name).  Well, I have a tipped uterus and my doc says my cervix was practically closed from scarring when she tried to give me a pap. I still bleed monthly so doc says it shouldn't interfere with conception.  But, I've noticed I've been VERY bloated lately and wondering could some of my menstrual flow be backflowing into my abdomen because of the tipped uterus and the tight cervix.  I read that it's possible but I'm wondering how would the docs find out if that's happening.  I had an u/s a couple weeks ago and my fibroid is exactly the same size as it was over a year ago (4.75cm), yet my abdomen looks like I'm about 3-4 months preggo and I've actually LOST weight.  I have NEVER had a protruding abdomen before and my slim waist was always my best attribute :-) My cycles are not heavy and this cycle it actually stopped completely for a day and started bright red the next day and then stopped.

Anybody know what else causes your abdomen to distend like that?  I'm definitely not preggo.  I even took a laxative and the stomach didn't go down.  I can even feel my uterus moving around and it's very heavy and I feel gassy all the time.

HELP!!!

Trish

Yeah, when I see it in your words it actually makes sense how serious it could be considering I actually lost a few pounds.  I have just a very bloated feeling and no pain. The uterus moving part is what gets me.  I know you've had gas before that actually felt like movement in your stomach, well that's how it feels but I feel it just like a baby moving.  But I've had an ultrasound so obviously there's no baby, unless she's hiding behind the fibroid :-)  LOL  Seriously though, it feels very heavy and if I didn't get that ultrasound I would have thought the fibroid grew like crazy but it didn't.  I seriously think the blood from AF is building up in my abdomen or something.

And I have to call the doctor in the morning.  By the time I called the office, of course it was too late.  Thanks so much for the advice and support!!

I don't mean to scare but if your waist is normally small then a big belly that looks 3-4 months pregnant is something to check out. Do you have any pain? I've never heard of anyone being able to feel their uterus moving before. Is that common? Maybe your fibroid burst? I would think that would be pretty painful, but maybe not. Please call your doc and ask to talk to the nurse so they can get you right in. You said you lost weight, right? Then you shouldn't have such a big belly then, right? Don't panic or anything, just call your doctor. Remember to ask to speak to the nurse or else you'll end up getting an appointment 6 weeks from now! :0)

Please let me know what they say, okay?

Okay, you're scaring me.  I guess I'd better try to get another appointment.  I was thinking it was just old age creeping up on me LOL.

Thanks Sue!
