Could you "tell" you were going to get BFN after FET?

I am sad to be posting this question but today I am 9dp 2dt (4 days before HCG test) and I have that feeling in my lower abdomen like I'm going to get my period.  I I am on so many meds (estradiol, estrogen patched, and endometrium) so that I won't actually get my period until I go off of them.  Yet I see have that very mildly crampy feeling that is the different than the cramps I've had when pregnant but the same feeling as right before my period.

For those who have also been on estrogen and progesterone after FET, could you still "tell" you were going to be BFN?  How???  Did anyone feel like they were definitely goign to get BFN but were wrong??

Thanks so much for responding!

Also, Helen, do you remember what symptoms you had that made you think you were going to be BFN?

Hi Helen!  I remember you from a long time ago!  I used to read your posts all the time (when I was pregnant and worrying about m/c and found this site).  Was your baby born in January '09?  That was when my dd was born.  Are you ttc again?

Thanks so much for the encouraging words.  I didn't remember that you'd thought you were going to get a BFN.  I just pray that that is my situation, too.

I was on progesterone and estrogen after my ivf and I just "knew" it was going to be bfn (even posted that here) but ended up getting a bfp and a healthy baby girl.  All the hormones can make you feel pregnant or not pregnant.  You just can't tell...
Good luck!

I am positive.  They told me they needed to be certain I would ovulate, although I think the reason is they wanted to be sure I would NOT ovulate before the scheduled FET.  I had my LH surge on a Monday and they scheduled my FET for Thursday.  I believe it was Monday night I took the HCG shot.  How does it work when you don't do a trigger shot for FET?  How do they know when to do the transfer?    I'm honestly increasingly upset with this RE telling me I have to take certain drugs when I've asked them I want to be on as little as possible (and now I hear others aren't doign the trigger shots!).  Ugh...

Are you sure that you had HCG trigger shot for a FET cycle? Because they would have no reason. (that i can think of..).. that they would need to trigger you if your doing  a frozen embryo transfer...
Did the RE tell you WHY you needed a trigger shot?

How did you know?

It could be that you know, I certainly did on my last IVF.  But on the other hand, one time when I was pregnant I didn't know.  (I didn't think I wasn't, I just didn't know one way or the other.)

Thanks for responding.  I actually did have a trigger shot.  Is that unusual for an FET?  I swear, this RE has put me on so many drugs and I wonder how many of them are unnecessary!  I will try a HPT tomorrow (don't have any at home and don't feel like going out...).  Thanks.

Since you did a FET you didn't have a trigger shot. If you really want to check you can try doing a HPT... at this stage it would be pretty accurate.
Good Luck to you!!!
