Having problems concieving

My husband and i have been trying to get pregnant for almost two years and nothing has happened, my husband has had two previous miscarriages in the past but neither were with me. I've tried taking herbal pills along with a prenatal vitamin and nothing has helped. Do you have any advice for what i should do or what might be going on?

I went through the same thing you are going through,by this time,I went to a RE and so far 4 years later,Im still working on getting pregnant, recently this past week I had a laproscopic surgery and they had to remove my left tube, due to it not being functional and clean out scar tissue they had found while in there due to lots of things, and so now I am left with 2 ovaries and only one tube, bummer but Im gonna  let nature takes its course now,as I cannot afford anymore treatment at this time,as far as IVF etc,as my insurance does not cover this and is beyond my financial means at this time.

Good luck hun.. lots of hugs

I think you should first start out by tracking your cycles and basal body temperature 2X day.  Do that for a couple of months.  Then make an appointment for an reproductive endocrinologist, and you'll at least have those charts to take with you so they can see how your cycle is.  You can see the RE first, but they are most likely going to ask you to chart your cycles anyways, so might as well go prepared since it's gonna cost lots of $$ and not every insurance covers RE visits.  Another thing you can do is purchase an Day 3 FSH test strip (online or from the drugstore) and you pee on it on the 3rd day of your cycle.  In addition to that, you can try purchasing ovulation predictor kits (however they can get pricey), so if you can afford it do it.  Otherwise I think you can buy cheap ones online.  Also, having sex 2-3 times per week is all that is needed.  So I think if you at least start out with these things, you can at least get an head start on things.  The most important thing would be to see an RE, and he would then run some blood tests and so on, and could probably check you out to see if you have any uterine problems, PCOS, fibroids, etc.  They would probably also do a sperm count on your husband.

Hope I gave you a ton of info, LOL. good luck.
