Found my TTC Friends #5

Hi ladies,
I thought I would take tori's lead and start a new thread.  I hope this bright sunny V-Day finds you all in lovely spirits and lovely moods.

ad_06 - I've heard gas is a symptom! This just may be it!

Jen - I'm so sorry you got a BFN.  The are so disappointing and frustrating.  But look at it this way: Now you can have a sip of wine and enjoy a night of love without purpose!  You and your Dh can, smile, eat, dance and love away the night without thinking about love as BD'ing.  I know you were really hoping BFP would be a Valentine gift and you must feel so let down.  But you ovulated without problems, your luteal phase was a great length, don't get discouraged - you just have another month ahead of you and it will work out.  p.s. read the old thread, I think torismommy made some good suggestions to you regarding HSG.

Torismommy - It sounds like you and your Dh got it all planned. I will most definitely keep my fingers crossed that you ovulate soon.  It really does suck not too.  I had a Dr. friend look at  my charts and he said that I might not be ovulating even though I'm getting my period b/c certain things aren't matching up well. I envy you your dh, at this point mine is lovely and can talk about the stuff but he is really leary about medications and procedures.  He wants it to be all natural.  And from the looks of things, it ain't gonna happen that way.  I think you are right, you've been on clomid once before and know what to expect.  That alone might help you control the side effects.  Do you do yoga or anything of the like?  I'm too lazy lately but that seriously helps me curb moods.

Ashort - The progesterone must be interesting!  I think I'm totally wrong about twins regarding HCG.  Your numbers look like they are right on track for baby (girl?)

How is everyone else doing?  I forget who else posted now and I can't look back! Agh.  take care and Happy Valentines Day to all!

Howdy girls. Glad to hear some updates on you preggo mommies. I am getting really nervous now. I go for my u/s tomorrow. Haven't had one since 6wks so I'm praying everything is still ok. Just really scared they are going to give me bad news. The morning sickness is still here but slowing down so I'm feeling better and have more energy finally. I'm getting more of an appetite to so I've been trying to gain back the weight I've lost. Still have adversions to chicken and most meats. I'm thinking about trying tofu. Anyone had it before? Is is good?

Ashort- glad to hear your doing well. Yoga and the gym sound awsome. I always get inspired to work out around this time of year as winter wains and spring approaches. I have my elliptical downstairs that I'm going to start using again now that I've been feeling a bit better.

Ash- your periods are strange lately. Do you think it's possible you could be ovulating later? What brand of ovulation sticks do you use? I will keep my fingers crossed for you thou.

DH and I finally picked out a crib and change table set that we liked. We have been looking for a few weeks now and nothing was working for us. We like the dk wood and the sleigh cribs but I want a change table to match that is a dresser with a built in change table on top. Not those dressers that you put a change mat on. I don't like the look of those. We finally found one so we hope to buy it sometime next week as long as the u/s and blood work goes well.

Any of you girls going to find out what you are having or are you going to let it be a surprise? DH and I are not going to find out. We want it to be a total surprise. I think it's going to be a girl thou....kind of a gut feeling. It would be the first girl in his family thou for a ways back so the cards are stacked against us haha.

Jen- i would say you o'd when your stick was the darkest or the day after even if it didn't get to the color of the control line. They aren't fool-proof and sometimes if you test at different times of the day you will get a neg in the am and a positive in the pm. So maybe it would have been darker if you had tested again later in the day. I know that has happened to a lot of people. I wouldn't worry cuz it sounds like you covered all your bases. Especially if that is the time you normally ovulate.

Hey ladies...Where is everyone?

I think I figured out what is going on with me this cycle. I think that whatI thought was a positive OPK on CD16 was not positive. This is seeming to be a 40-45 day cycle which would mean that the positive OPK I got on CD30 is accurate and that I O'd at that time rather than 2 weeks before like I thought!! This is so annoying. At least over these next few month that we are taking a break I will be able to pay more attention to my cycles and document more and not have to worry about timing BDing. I really thought I knew my cycle to a T but I guess my body is inconsistent.

aweeone - Last month Im not completely sure what my luteal phase was because I only charted my temp and checked CM but I wasn't completely sure because my temps were up but a little eratic at times. I am so confused.

ashleigh - Who knows. Maybe you are pregnant.  Was your luteal phase approx 14 days last month on your 40 day cycle?  Or have you had lengthy luteal phases before?  I do get long luteal phases once in a while but a Dr. friend thinks I'm actually not ovulating those months.  I have to wait till I go see my Dr. to find out more.  I don't know though, with your luteal phase being 22 days long and no sign of AF...just maybe AF isn't coming.  My fingers are still crossed for you.

ashort - I'm glad to hear that you are recovering well and have taken some time to yourself.  I wish you didn't have to go to work and had more time though.  And it must be so disappointing to wait 2 months. I'm sure your body [and mind] needs the rest though or your Dr. wouldn't have recommended it.  Just take the time to do yoga, chill, go on dates like a highschool girl with your hubby and play in the great big city.  I do yoga and it's amazing. I love it. Although lately I've been lazy and I can tell! ugh.  The best thing about yoga is you can do it at home in your living room.  It's a portable routine.

jen - I don't know anything about opks or I'd advise you. This is my first month using one.  And it's a wee machine.  It all sounds good for you  and hopefully this will be your month.

silirama - it's great to hear from you again.  So you're as big as lamb. That's fabulous. And lucky you, to get your own doppler so you can enjoy the wee pitter patters anytime you desire! I hope your next appt goes smashingly and can't wait to hear all about your 'boy'.

I'm CD5 today and start poas for my OPK tomorrow. Wish me luck, I don't really know what I'm doing.  I just want to be reassured that I actually am ovulating.  How is everyone else doing?

I am glad to hear that everyone is doing good on here!! I just got all unpacked but my internet still wont be on until wednesday.

Ashleigh- I am 11 weeks, 4 days today. Thanks. Yeah, and what is up with you? LOL. You have to be pregnant. Maybe your HCG just isn't showing up yet. Good luck though!!

Silirama- it is so nice to hear that you are doing good. That is awesome that someone else has a huge belly LOL. Have you had an ultrasound yet?? I havn't. :(

I go back to the doctors on the 11th, so I am hoping that I will be able to see my litle baby on the ultrasound machine in the office. That would be awesome. I bet he or she is huge. LoL.

So, when should I expect to feel the first movements?? I need some advice here because this is baby number one for me. LOL. Yeah well I am doing good. Still don't wanna eat much of anything. I sleep a lot too!!! I have been going to sleep at like 9 everynight and waking up at like 9 evey mornin. LOL. I am getting well rested. Well class is about to start so i am going to get off here. I will be back on monday.

Hey everyone! So I used Ovulation test strips I ordered off the internet this time around... I got a very faint line around Wednesday and it got a little darker each day until yesterday. Saturday was the darkest, but it was never as dark as the control line, then yesterday, it started to get lighter again. Do you think this means I 'O' on Saturday, even though it wasn't as dark as the control line? Could it be that maybe it was just the time of day I tested or something? I've always used walmart OPKs and so I'm not used to these... we started bd'ing as soon as we got the faint lines... used preseed also, so I want to feel confident that we did good this month, I'm just paranoid since I didn't see that line as dark as it should have been... what do you all think?
