Green Tea Anyone?

Has anyone drank green tea to help with fertility?  Of does anyone know of any information bringing the two together?

I think the main thing about green tea is the folic acid issue...I'm sure that's what Kim's doctor was referring too. So just make sure you stop drinking it after O every month, and you should be fine! Best of luck!

Thank you also for your information, but it does bring questions to mind... Besides saying it could cause a miscarriage did he say why or what in green tea would have an effect like that?
Does it play with the progesterone levels necessary to maintain pregnancy? More info would be appreciated.

thank you for that info i actually started drinking it when i stopped smoking.  i had had like 4 staph infections and i was trying any and everything to try to strengthen my immune system - those infections were horrible and i didn't know why i kept getting them. so i started just drinking everyday and i am happy to say i haven't had an infection since!! YAY!!!  I had no idea about the depleting of folic acid though - thank you so much.  with me currently waiting on ovulation that is very useful.

My doctor told me the only thing i could NOT have was green tea as it causes miscarriages.  You may want to check with a doctor.

i drank green tea daily (it was a green tea and acai tea mix) apparently acai has a TON of antioxidants...but drank it daily the month we got our BFP.. i did stop after ovulation, and also made sure to take my folic acid supplement too... who knows if it helped, but i thougth it was worth a try, plus has a little caffine which i liked!: )  (only30mg)

I've been drinking it on and off, but to be honest, I haven't really noticed much of a difference in my CM (it's suppose to help produce fertile CM). Like hope_31 said, it can deplete your body of folic acid, so just make sure you drink it in the first part of your cycle and stop once you've ovulated...just in case you get pregnant that month and need the extra folic acid :-)

Good luck!
