Hello all...I guess I don't really have a question...but more of a statement..I am in my 2ww...8dptrigger, 7dpo and 6dp first round of IUI..and I am going freaking crazy!! I am on 600mcg's of Prometrium daily and just don't feel like myself!! The wait is unbelievable and I can't stop thinking about pregnancy, babies, success rates and failing.
So I guess I do have a question....Does anyone else feel this way? Or has felt this way?
I am overanalyzing every cramp, headache, slight rise in temp, twinge and feeling. A coworker (male) told me I looked really good the other day and I just about hugged him!! Again in my head screaming "I must be pregnant!!!"
Thanks for letting me get that off my chest everyone!! My fiance doesn't understand how I am feeling and its hard to explain to others not going through this.........

Well those are good numbers, uterine lining of 10mm :) I also have some breast tenderness, but it's most likely from the prometrium and estrogen that I'm taking. You might have everything going against you, but that doesn't mean anything. You might get pregnant, while a 28yr won't. You can never really know.
My father is jewish, but my mum isn't. So technically I am not but there are jewish family traditions that I try to follow.
At first my RE didn't think IVF was even possible. I only have one ovary and fallopian tube due to a very large cyst 10 years ago. It is located on top of my uterus. I have PCOS, a bicorneate uterus, and my age all going against me. My fiance is 31 and has really great swimmers!! My RE thought IUI was our best and only option. One of the other RE's at the clinic I go to here at our Hospital Fertility clinic after a recent US said they could extract eggs if we wanted to try IVF. Since my only tube isn't blocked we don't qualify for any Canadian gov't subsidy for IVF and as you know it isn't cheap. At least 5000$ per round. So we decided to continue with IUI with injections as my RE first suggested and will try a few rounds this way and possible one round of IVF.
I had 2 follies one was 16mm and one was 20mm...and my lining was 10. (not sure if this number is good or maybe I mixed it up with one of the other zillions of nubers in my head) My fiances count was 52 million which they said was really really good.
I realized yesterday I had a new symptom - really sore nipples which I know could also be a side affect from the Prometrium.....
So the wait continues....are there other 40 plus ladies out there that did IUI with injections with positive results?????!!!

Good luck Tova. Are you Jewish? Just asking because of the name. I am. I just wondered why your doc decided to do IUI instead of IVF. I would think at 42, you would have a better chance to get pregnant with IVF. Am I wrong in this thinking, anyone with any advice?

I am 42 and so my RE wants me to take Prometrium to keep my lining thick.
I hear ya about the research...I sometime think it makes it worse.
I go for my blood test on April 29th....and that would be cycle day 30!!! I want to test at home but am waiting for all the Hcg to be out of my system so I don't get a false positive....so I am not sure....when will you test?
I mean really this isn't any different then any other month when I pray I don't get AF...but it is different!!!

Hi Tova - it sounds like we are in the same boat! I am 9 days past trigger, 8 dpo, and 7dpiui. This is my first time too.
I am not taking prometrium, so i cant comment on that, but I can tell you that i am over analyzing. Unfortunately, no one has told me that i look really good lately! LOL!
I do a lot of researching just to see if something new pops up and that suddenly someone out there has come up with a symptom that proves that you are pg 8dpo. Not sure what i'm looking for - but it passes the time. One of my online friends sent me a Fertility Meditation CD, and when i start feeling crazy, i put that in and meditate! It helps, and i feel less crazy at 8dpo than i did at 4dpo!
We have been trying for so long now that my DH is used to my craziness, but he admits that with time I am becoming much more balanced (thank heavens - it's tough on a relationship!)
When do you plan to test? Have a great weekend!
