IUI tomorrow! / Where are my February IUI ladies at?

My IUI is scheduled for 8am tomorrow and I just wanted to check in with the rest of you and see how you are all doing?

I got lots going on in there, but officially only 4 mature ones (LOTS of other follicles that are close!).  They keep warning me about multiples and I keep saying "we'll cross that bridge when we come to it - lets just get me pregnant first!"  I mean they always aim for 4 follicles and even then there's still only like a 20 something percent chance of getting pregnant at all... so I'm worried by not TOO worried.

I'm having a rough day on the hormones today.  I had a job interview this morning and I was really nervous because out of all the jobs I've applied for so far, I REALLY wanted this one.  So with all my nerves I blurted out something REALLY stupid and probably blew the interview - so I just keep beating myself up about it.  Job hunting while on hormones is not an easy task!  So of course, once I start crying about something I can't stop, and went and got my u/s today like a blubbering idiot (it was right after the interview) - but they were really nice and I'm actually very close with the woman who did my u/s (she runs the support group there) - so we talked a little first.

The other good news is that the IVF grant money is back at my RE's office.  She was sort of hinting that for that reason and all the follicles we could convert this cycle to IVF if I wanted, but I had a really bad experience with my IVF - I got an infection and fever (despite being on antibiotics) and I just don't think I ever had a shot at those babies implanting.  With my first IUI, I actually got pregnant cuz I think it was much less stress on my body.  So I think I'll go through with this IUI, and god forbid it doesn't work, then maybe next cycle try the IVF.  Hopefully it won't come to that!

I just wanted to check in - let me know how you are all doing!  It will keep me distracted!

ALT76- Thanks for the welcome! I read your other post. Your counts were awesome!

lylncuite87- What Cd are you? I am CD 4 today.  I also go back on CD 14 (2/15) to check my follies.  I should be doing IUI around that same time as you. A november baby would be great, my bday month!

I am doing o.k.  I am on my second day of femara.  I am worried that the femara won't be enough to get a follie on my 'good' side.  I have one blocked tube.  So, I guess the next step would be injections if this doesn't do the trick?

hello ladies.

I'm getting my first IUI this month too :)
I'm so excited! I had a m/c last year it will be a year on Saturday.
Have done every test possible and they have no clue why I'm not getting pregnant.
So on CD 5-9 I'm taking 50ML of clomid.
on CD 14 i'm going to see how many follicles I produced
then they are going to give me a shot to trigger ovulation.
they they are going to inseminate me on the 18th :)
I sure hope it works the first time.
Praying for a november 2009 baby!
good luck to everyone who is doing an IUI this month!!!!

thanks to everyone for the well wishes

rachjas and journey - of course you can join us!  Keep us posted!

rachjas - if you have any questions, let me know

journey - if it makes you feel any better, my RE's office does IUI's only 12 hours after the trigger - so even if you O a little later, it will probably be OK no matter what you decide.  Try to relax - you can always BD too!  But you know your body - if you think it takes some time for the trigger to take affect, maybe you should run it by your RE's office to see what they think?

I posted the details of my IUI in another post - but overall it went great!  SUPER high sperm count... feeling good so far and not too uncomfortable.  We'll see!!!!

Can I Join?  I'm suppose to have my iui Monday.  I go in today to see if I'm all most ready.  I don't know if I want the 24 or 36 hours after trigger. I have been thinking about it. I had 2 iuis 24 hours after trigger (failed).

Pls someone help me.  I been thinking of not doing the iui.

I took femara day 3-7 two pills a day.  I usually ov on the 16 of the month my nurse is telling to trigger Sunday morning at 8:30 and have the iui Monday at 8:30.  I was thinking that I might trigger Saturday. I don't want to ov before I have my iui.  Before when I took the trigger I still didn't ov until 36 hours later I think. I didn't bbt.

Your follicles sound perfect!!  I wish I knew your estrogen level since I obsess over mine toward the end of my cycle.  I think this time is going to work for you!!  ANd I hope it works for all of us!!  I know what you mean about the many blood tests.  They have always had a hard time getting my blood due to my veins being very tiny and I bruise easily.  There are a few people that can get it easier than others.  I refuse to let some people int he office even try.  I hate the blood tests more than anything else with ttc.  Let me know how your IUI went and what the numbers were!

Good luck tomorrow.  COngrats on the 4 follies.  I know what you mean about getting the 'multiples' speech from the REs, lol  let's get BFP first, then we'll deal with multiples if it comes to that.  Nonetheless, I am rooting for you.  Keep us posted.  Hope you won;t have to go thru with the ivf as you'll get your bfp this month... :-)

I am having my first IUI this cycle.  Although, I am just starting.  I am CD 3 today.  We are doing Femara 5mg CD 3-7, with trigger and IUI.  I am very excited, but really not sure what to expect.

not sure what the E2 was - they only let me know if it's off.  They've checked Saturday, Monday, Tuesday AND today!!!  They thought I may be ready yesterday so they had me come in, but the follicles hadn't grown much at all since Monday, so I went another day.

Unfortunately, due to all these damn treatments and all the other stuff I've been through requiring countless blood tests, apparently my veins have gotten calloused from being repeatedly poked and no one can seem to get a needle in them, even though they are very large and plump.  The needle just pushes the vein to the side.  I have been stabbed repeatedly all week from all this monitoring, and yesterday they went in my hand and my hand blew up and has been throbbing ever since.  Today they just stabbed my left arm repeatedly cuz I wouldn't let them near my hands!  That's my whining for today :o(

My follicles are between 19-21mm for the 4 "mature" ones.  They said they aim for 18-22mm.  I have a bunch in the 14-15mm range though!  I hope we don't end up with eight babies!

keep me posted on your IUI!
