Inconclusive, D&C, Miscarriage

Well ladies, I went to Dr today with hubby to get results back of my miscarriage that was sent out to be tested.  It turns out the test came back inconclusive.  The test showed female normal but they are not sure if it was my tissue or the babies since there was not alot there.  I had passed some of it prior to D&C.  So now I am very confused.
The Dr still believes it's abnormal.  Has this happeend to anyone?

I will have to have extensive blood work done now for checking of blood clotting & also have another HSG.  UGH!! I just knew that he was going to say that again.  I guess I would rather check everything out now before having another m/c again.  I will do blood on friday but for HSG have to wait for AF.

We are going to try again after I complete the tests & have 2 cycles (AF) so looking at March.  Dr is pretty optimisitc I will get pregnant again.  I hope it sticks this time.
We are looking foward to starting again especially since I know what to expect.  Thanks for the info.  This will be our first baby.

No, not IVF.  I've had 3 pregnancies, 3 kiddos/3 MC's 2 of which I MC'd naturally, & 1 I had a DnC, I was too far along & nothing was happening ;(

I have one ovary/tube, I had a huge 9 CM ovarian complex cyst in my left ovary, so they had to remove that, along w/my left tub/ovary a little over a year ago.
My last pg was the month after my surgery, so I KNOW I can still get pregnant, got all the tests doen both B/W & HSG, & the saline/uterus thingy......
All looks great ;)  So now it's a matter of the right time ;o)

Are you going to do IVF soon again?  Or are you waiting a bit?

Do you do IVF?  You are just mentioning Gonal-F.

Thanks ;-/  We had a big vacation planned for the Christmas Holiday w/our kids.  & nope ;( have not gotten pg since, not that I've known anyway.  We've tried 7 months now, done Gonal -F 2x's  IF I'm not pg right now, the plan is to do Gonal-F this next cycle, & I'll add some herbs & acupuncture too!

I am sorry for your loss.   Can I ask why you flew so early?  Have you gotten pregnat since?

W/my 3rd (last) MC I had a DnC & the test came back totally normal-girl too.  The only thing was that, my baby had died within the week & I had not passed anything prior to my DnC.  My Dr told me that there's a possibility that they tested my cells, BUT at this point, he said to me, we have to assume the baby was normal, since all my tests came back fine too.

I personally feel the baby was fine too, I had gone on a vacation & flown 22 hours between weeks 5 1/2 -7 & my RE feels  strongly that women, (especially us older mammas;) should NOT fly in the first 12-14 weeks.  The baby is developing super fast in our early stages of pregnancy & is just a bit more at risk for things not being perfect to effect a growing baby. ( an older, more sensitive egg & enviorement)
I MC'd @ 11 weeks, baby stopped growing @ 10 weeks ;(

Of course not all Dr's & RE's will agree to this, but I was a little concerned about this before we left & my regular OB said I would be fine.....my betas were doubling nicely & progesterone was 56 @ 16DPO!   So he felt it was fine.  I know that my RE that I see now, will have you wear a lap shield if you MUST fly in the first trimester, that's how strongly he feels about it.

Good luck Kricket ;)  I bet the next time you get pg it will be perfect ;o)  Happy to hear that all your tests came back good.

Thanks for the info about the baby aspirin. I have been doing all that already.   I am already seeing an RE because I do IVF as I have a clogged tube.  We shall see what this 2nd HSG shows.
So Happy to hear positive results about your baby.  I hope I will be a 2010 mom.

kricket- the same exact thing happened to me after my 2nd MC in 5 months.  My tests came back normal female stuff and nothing else.  i had all of that testing and an HSG and every test came back normal.

so when we tried again for precautions, my doctor put me on baby aspirin (even though my clotting test came back fine) and progesterone through my first 12 weeks of pregnancy.  Low and behold that pregnancy, which was the 3rd one (the first 2 were MC's) was a full term and now my son is going to be 1 year old next month.

So hang in there hun, believe me i know your sorrows and frustrations but it will all work out.

I'm sorry your results came back inconclusive... I've never had any testing done after a miscarriage, so unfortunately I can't really help much there, but good luck with your tests on Friday.
