Informal research study - moon phases and BFPs
Ok - here goes: I have been trapped in the bed all day in major pain from the IUI/ovulation (I think my guts are going to fall out whenever I stand up - guess that's what I get for wanting a lot of eggies), and I have noticed over the years of being on medhelp that BFPs seem to come in cycles. Anyone who has been on here for a while should have seen this. It's almost like they come in waves. Well, this got me thinking...and no, before anyone asks I am not on drugs :) Does it perhaps have something to do with lunar cycles (moon)? So, I would like to have the dates of when people go ttheir BFPs (whether it stuck or not). I want to do some research on the lunar cycles at this time. I am a biology major and teach science, so this does not seem stupid to me, but might to others :) Just humor me please :0 ) Just give me the date (and year) of any BFPs you got...thanks :)

I'm having IUI this friday on black out, so 14 days would be a full moon is that good timing? I would love to see how this turns out!
So that gives me some hope cause I'm going be triggered the day before a new moon so then I should get my BFP on the full moon... Good luck girls

Yep - I agree. I was looking at the actual implantation and sticking. I know the days are off, but most women who are TTC test pretty early, so it is only 4-10 days after implantation. So, I was really looking at the comception rate of the moon cycles, not really Oing. I O on meds all the time, but have only gotten preggo 2 times. I wanted to see the sticky bean vs m/c too in reference to the moons phases. Right now, I am not seeing a great pattern though (boooo), even if this is an informal study :) Thank you for your input - I will need to look at possibly trying again with the O and AF cycles! :) Thanks girly!
The studies I have read (and there are many, so you are not crazy :)) show that women exposed to moonlight through their bedroom window each night will eventually start cycling with the moon. They will O at the full moons and they will AF in the waning dark moons. Then start up again in the waxing and so forth. I think looking at the moon when women got their BFPs is a little more tricky because that's just basically saying women FOUND OUT about a conception duirng a certain moon... much less consistent. But if they know that women O around the full moon (when the gravitational pull is the strongest on the oceans, tides, etc) then the conception would happen also, right around there and depending on the woman's body they would get their BFP two weeks later (new/dark moon) or if they are a little late to implant... waxing half moons.

Trying to find a pattern but need more info :) My ohss is already kicking in full force. Don't see me getting out of bed anytime soon...ugh. Keep the dates coming to give me something to do :)
