Women of Strength!!!

A Strong Woman VS. A Woman Of Strength

A strong woman works out every day to keep her body in shape…
But a woman of strength builds relationships to keep her soul in shape.

A strong woman isn't afraid of anything…
But a woman of strength shows courage in the midst of fear.

A strong woman won't let anyone get the better of her…
But a woman of strength gives the best of herself to everyone.

A strong woman makes mistakes and avoids the same in the future…
A woman of strength realizes life's mistakes can also be unexpected blessings and capitalizes on them.

A strong woman wears a look of confidence on her face…
But a woman of strength wears grace.

A strong woman has faith that she is strong enough for the journey…
But a woman of strength has faith that it is in the journey that she will become strong.

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! =)  My last RE appt went great!  We were so surprised with our u/s because we could see our babies' heads, bodies w/beating hearts, arms, legs & fingers!  It was amazing.  I uploaded a pic & also a pic from my day shopping with my mom.  We went shopping for maternity clothes & I was told that since I was a size small pre-pregnancy, I would wear a small in maternity clothes.  Well, I told you all I've thickened up quite a bit & the smalls just wouldn't fit!  haha ;)  But I got lots of great work clothes & we had a fun day together!

Keyan: DS seemed to be better this morning - just a little congested is all. I'm glad the weather is getting better. Just su cks that you will have so much rain in the next couple of days :-( I'm am so happy with my doppler!!! I use it all the time lol :-) I can't believe I'm already 16wks!! I have another week and a half before we find out - I'm getting so impatient lol! Luvkayln thinks I'm having a girl and so does half my family lol... We shall see! Congrats on not feeling hot flashes!!! When will the Lupron be out of your system?

Luvkayln: Thanks!!! I can't believe I'm already 16 wks...it seems like it's flying by this time around. Last night I woke up around 2 to go to the bathroom and I had an aweful pain type thing on my left actual side and through that part of my back, it felt like a huge charlie horse in my back! I switched postions to lay on my right side and it relieved it a bit so I could fall back to sleep - But it was enough where at 430 a.m when I got up to check DS (Crying) I got out my doppler lol - The HB is kinda hard to find in the middle of the night lol!! DS is feeling better it seems - just still a little congested this morning. About the H1N1 vaccine - I talked to my mom about it this morning and I guess there was a p/g lady who got it and they delivered the baby at 6mo. and the last she heard the mom was still in a coma...I think I'm going to get it especially since I'll be p/g through almost the whole cold and flu season. I'll talk to my OB about it on the 15th though. Scary stuff!!

Mrspace: Where are you?

AFM: DS is feeling better, just still congested a little. Today I'm doing the task of cleaning DS's closet...and what a task it is lol!!! Going through what to keep as far as baby bath tub and such. Some stuff we had we absolutely hated so we are getting rid of it. I'm hoping DS's room will be done by the end of October so all his stuff can move up there and we can get the baby's room together. I'm in a wedding this weekend - we've been best friends since the 4th grade, we leave tomorrow for it, it should be fun!! As long as it's not hot out lol (outside wedding...). I'm going to try to take more belly shots today since I'm now 16wks, I'll let you all know when I do...

For the Ladies who have a BFP:
Will you be getting the H1N1 vaccine when it becomes available? What are your thoughts on it? I'm just trying to weigh everything, but I'm pretty sure I will be getting it since they are saying kids and p/g woman are at the highest risk and with being p/g they said it could harm the baby...Just wondering your thoughts!!! Thanks!!!

Hugs, Love and SSBD to all :-)

I mentioned this to luvkayln, but my ob advised me to get the flu shot this month & the swine flu shot next month when it's available. She said to contact her asap if I have flu-like symptoms or if I'm around anyone with flu-like symptoms & she'd prescribe Tama-flu, because swine flu is so dangerous for pregnant women. You would basically be in the hospital on a respirator. She also said to get them in your ob's office because when they're done in a mass work-setting or grocery store environment, they're not quite the same. I can't remember exactly why, but I'll double-check with her on Tuesday. I am definitely planning to get both unless I hear something that changes my mind :)

Dnikki- Wow, that's so scary! What was the cause for her delivering so early?? The whole swine flue shot just makes me nervous all around. Maybe I'll feel better after talking to my doctor about it on Tuesday, but at this point right now, I'm leaning towards just getting a regular flu shot versus both. I feel like there's a huge debate about it, and people are saying they just don't know enough about it to recommend it?! That scares me, and of course I know it's not ready yet, but it still gets me nervous... Ok, so about your pain, I get that pretty much every night, because I can't sleep on my back anymore and have to sleep on my sides. Really it's from all your weight being on one side for too long, so once you switch sides it'll relieve the pain on the other side. All I do all night is switch sides about every 2 hours b/c the pain will wake me up!

Mommyin10- You seem so set on getting both shots, and maybe I'll feel more comfortable about it like you are once I talk to my doctor. Did your doctor bring it up or did you say something? My doctor hasn't even mentioned it to me?! About getting either shot!!! I haven't had a flu shot since I was young, and you know what's ironic. My mom got the flu shot 1 time b/c her doctor had recommended it, I guess it was going around really bad one year. And that same year, she got the flu!? So it's like, are these shots really going to prevent the flu or even the swine flu if you get them?! So are they saying it's going to be the worst in the winter time? What's the reason for that, do you know? I really need to think about Adalynn here, so if I get the shot while still pregnant with her, will she still be ok through the winter months and I won't have to worry so much about her getting it?? Uugh, I'm just nervous about the whole thing, but like I said, maybe when I talk to my doctor I'll feel better. I'll let you know what she says and what she recommends me to do. :) My appointment is at 9:00, but I'll have to get there a little early to get my lab stuff done since I'm getting my diabetes test done. At least my doctor gave me the gluclose to drink on the way up there so I don't have to sit there an extra hour for nothing! :) What is dh's project after the fence? Be sure and take pics when it's up, ok? :)

Mrspace- This is very weird to not hear from you for a few days?! Hope everything is ok!! Check in soon, ok? :)

I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend!! :)

luvkayln:  My ob brought it up to me.  I know it seems like once you get the flu shot, you get the flu, but that's really just a coincidence.  It just means that you already caught the bug before you got the shot.  The shot doesn't actually give you the flu.  I got one last year since we were ttc & I was fine ;)  I do plan to get both, but I haven't heard all the controversy that you have.  I've just heard about how dangerous swine flu is for pregnant women & I can't imagine getting either flu while pregnant ;(  I think my workplace, too, is one where I'm more likely to catch something, so I don't want to take any chances ;) I'll talk more with my ob on Tues, too.  After the fence, dh will sand and paint the moulding in our front room.  Then he'll move on to the stone floor in the kitchen, going into the great room.  After that, he'll do the hardwood in the babies' room, which will come into the hallway & meet the stone floor.  Then we can decorate! =) Woo-Hoo!  It's supposed to be so much cooler this weekend, in the 80s.  I'm really counting on it because it's just been completely miserable lately ;(  Have fun shopping tomorrow!!!

Don't have much time, have to pack and then leave for the rehearsal/dinner/wedding weekend lol...

Luvkayln & Mommyin10: I don't think I'm going to get the shot either. I keep going back and forth but it does make me really nervous and I know it's not even out yet!! There is a lot of controversy and I don't feel there is enough testing and such to say it's safe for our unborn children. Basically you protect yourself the way you do from any other bug. I looked up all the symptoms and such on the CDC website. I have a sore throat now, but I don't have a fever or anything. I think it's just from the weather change and my yearly cold lol- or allergies. But this whole vaccine thinig scares me. I got the regular flu shot when I was p/g with ds, so I'll just probably do that again....

Have a good weekend ladies!!! I'll check in when I get back!!!

Hugs, Love and SSBD to all :-)
