financing ivf

Hi everyone. We have had 4 failed iuis and i have one blocked tube. We have been advised to move on to ivf. I wondering if anyone has ideas of where to apply for a medical or any credit card that comes with at least $6000 on it. Need 11,375 plus 5,000 for meds. Have raised/gotten money for meds and 5000. Need a balance of 6000. Any ideas? i am going crazy with worry!

I also live in Houston and LOVE LOVE LOVE my clinic. We changed clinics a few months in and have not regretted it for a single second. The experience was as pleasant as could be given the circumstances, my RE and my nurse were amazing, and we were offered a payment plan. My costs are above. If you want more info, message me.

my clinic requires total payment upfront. they recommended some loan companies. I applied and was granted only $5000. So i still have a lot more to cover.

And you may want to check with other pharmacies for meds. $5000 for a full treatment seems really high. I used Freedom Pharmacy at the recommendation of my clinic.

As mentioned above, your clinic probably credit info but also talk with the finance manager and ask if you can set up a payment plan. Our IVF was $7500 w/ICSI and freezing plus $3000 for meds. I paid meds out of pocket and $4000 up front for IVF but my clinic allowed me to set up payments for the balance with NO finance charges. Best deal if you can't pay everything at once. I just asked, and they said yes.

Hi, I would shop around, I don't know where you are but I did ivf for 8000.00 plus 2800.00 for icsi and 3000.00 for meds. Where are you in the world?

At my drs office they have brochures that list medical loan companies.  They are out there.  Good luck!

You might talk with the people at the business office (i.e., the billing office) of the IVF clinic.  If there is some kind of medical credit card out there, they might know about it, and they might possibly know how other people are funding their treatment.  If you have any home equity, have you considered a home-equity line of credit?
