I would jsut like to put a memo for anyone thinking of using Capital one. I have had 2 bad experiences with them and loans. My advice is that you Express mail your bills 10 days before they are due. that way, you have PROOF that you sent your bill in. They are a very shady company and will engage in unethical practices to send your interest rates soaring. Other than that, they are GREAT for getting loans that you don't qualify for at other locations.
I did 6 IUI cycles with no luck. I almost gave up because I was so distraught ater getting my hopes up so many times.and spending over a year on failed attempts. It may be a cheaper way to try but ask your RE if they think there is any chance of this working first.Success with IUI for people who have been recommended IVF is very slim. The emotional torture is the same with any proceedure and it takes it toll after failures. So think hard before doing IUI if IVF was recommened.Again ood Luck whatever you decide. Please keep me posted.
Hi. iui is intrauterine insemmination. My RE will monitor my follicles via ultrasound & when I get a +opk, I'll go in the next day with a sample from my husband. After the lab "washes" the sample, the RE will insert it into your uterus. It gives the little swimmers a headstart :) It's worth looking into. My RE didn't recommend it. He wants me to go straight to IVF, but I figure it can't hurt in the meantime & may actually work. Who knows?! :)
hey there thanks for your respond! i was wondering what exactly is IUI?
thank you so much for your feedback! it helps to not be alone! this anxiety is torture! i hope the best for you all as well! thank you sooo much
Our RE wants us to move on to IVF, but we're trying to deal with the cost, as well. Insurance covers nothing, but some meds, so it will be $10,000 + meds for one chance or our RE's office offers a plan for $15,000 + meds for 3 fresh & 3 frozen attempts. I have a condition that seems to indicate m/c is more likely, so we'll probably go with the $15,000+, but I hear ya! It's not an easy amount to come up with. We're doing iui in the meantime, which is approx $350. Good luck to you & keep us posted on what you decide!
I totally understand how you are feeling. We just started our first IVF cycle and we are paying for the whole thing out of pocket about 15,000. I know Capital One has a fertility loan and you can look into the ARC they also offer financing. Good Luck
I just found out, through another memeber on here, that Capital One offers ferility loans!! That is what I'm going to be looking into soon, as I'm on the same boat as you!! GOOD LUCK!
I am not sure about the funding, some states have funding you should ask the clnic. As far as chances, 50% is usually the best chance they give you. I got pregnant on my first IVF and my embryos werent even that good a quality. My son is now 3 months old. Just think positively and dont give up. Good luck.
