home pregnancy test after ivf possibly correct?

I did egg retrieval on 6/10.  ovidrel(hcg)shot on 6/8.  blastocyst transfer on 6/15.  i know they tell you not to take a home test, but i couldn't help myself.  I thought maybe if i took one every couple of days, the results might be more accurate.  i took a test 6/18 was negative.  today 6/21  tested positive.  Is it even possible?

i feel a little bit stronger  today even though i already  had my blood test done yesterday and it came back negative ,i'm anxious to start another round of ivf ,
probably have to wait long time to actually see the doctor again for review of what our next step is again :( but i still have hopes .talking to u ladies and reading ur stories ,i feel better and stronger cause u all understand what i'm going trough .

Hi All. This is my second round as I ovulated early for my first round in October 2010 which was quite upsetting. This time I made it to transfer which was on the 28th January and one embryo was implanted as the second was not mature enough yet. I have had a lot of cramping and feel exhausted quite a bit which I am guessing is normal. The thing I am worried about is that I am feeling what I think may be slight period pain today but I do not have any bleeding. Does this sound familiar to anyone, has anyone had this and still had a positive result? My blood test in on the 8th Feb so I am very nervous and paying attention to all signs which I know is not a good thing but very hard to control as I am sure you all understand.

I find myself reading and rereading everyone's posts. I can't help but think about being pregnant, so I keep reading to keep my hopes up.

to: Julianbaby, so sorry that your test came back neg. Maybe there is a chance it's too early, don't give up though. Prayers to you.

to: lala34286, the first time I was pregnant I felt nothing, and "knew" that I wasn't pregnant (but I actually was). They say every pregnancy is different, try to stay positive.

I feel nothing like pregnant...I am praying that it's like that first time, but I feel like that's prob'ly not the case. HPT today said negative again, and I'm trying to prepare for the worst all while hoping for the best. Keep your heads up, and keep writing it's nice to be connected to women who understand my hopes, thoughts and fears.

had 5day embryo transferred on 1/27.  no symptoms, blood test tommorrow, negative HPT.  I don't think I am pregnant (3 pregnancies in the past 1 live birth) as had all symptoms before.  Last IVF treatment as the stress tore apart my marriage (divorcing) - will likely be donating our frozen embryos. Anyhow, it is good to know I am not the only one anxious through the process.  Good luck everyone.

Hi ladies ,I'm new here ,its interesting so many of us had transfer on 01/23/11 ,i actually had 2 frozen good embryos  transfered on sunday the 23 of january ,and i had a blood test done today ,the nurse called me with the bad news .negative ,still cant believe it ,i feel so pregnant ,i know its also the Estrace and Prometrium that makes you feel pregnant ..my husband says maybe its too early to  test ,i dont know what to think :(
we've been married for 14 years and have been trying for 8 years now ,had 3 failed ius and 1 positive ivf but miscarried 6 weeks later ,this is my second ivf ..

Hi I just read you post where you saying that you are not feeling anything. My pregnancy test is on the 6th next Sunday and I'm not feeling anything too. This is my 3 IVFs, plus 3 miscarriage before these  IVFs. Just want to say to you, relax, think positive and everything is going to be alright. I'm using the gel progesterone in the morning. I had headache yesterday, took one tylenol and feel better. Good Luck!
