hi,
By hsg u can confirm tubal block...
A couple of things can help bacterial vaginosis. A good probiotic (acidophilus, or better yet, a combo of several kinds of probiotics) and also taking lots of folic acid. I believe the dose I read was 2,400mcg/day. I bought them in 800mcg tablets and took 1 tab 3x a day. Doing both of those things together got rid of it forever for me. Now I just take 800mcg of folic acid and one probiotic daily and have no problems. Good luck!
If you have an active case of BV, go to the doctor and get an antibiotic. Probiotics and folic acid are fine, but will not kill bacteria, and BV can be a stubborn infection (you have to take the entire run of antibiotics to get rid of it). Definitely probiotics are a good idea after having taken the Flagyl or whatever else the doctor prescribes to get rid of the BV. You need the good flora back in your digestive system after taking antibiotics.
You learn if your Fallopian tubes are closed by having an HSG test. They can get closed by having scarred from infection or from a tubal pregnancy.
some infections can also be the cause of tubal blockage, but getting the HSG can actually help clear away some blockage that is not scare tissue. I just had an HSG and they said that my right tube was slightly blocked with what they believe was a build up of cervical mucus, but the procedure cleared it right out.. and if you don't have insurance that will cover it, the procedure cost is not all that bad, I am sure that your Dr. will work out a payment plan for it, just don't be afraid to ask questions and get done anything that you feel you should while TTC. Good luck and sending baby dust your way~~~~~
