second guessing dr.

Hi my name is katherine. Im 24 yrs old. I have been trying to get pregnant for over a yr now. I had a  laparoscopy and chromotubation done over 6 months ago. The dr removed adhesions and flushed my tubes. He said that my pelvis anatomy was GROSSLY distorted by ahdesions from the right lateral sidewall to the right fallopian tube, GROSSLY distorting it from normal position. There was also extensive adhesion band from the greater omentum onto the anterior abdominal wall. The dr lysis all of the ahesion. The dr said that the fallapian tube was freed up after the adhesion were removed. He also said that there was some difficulty seeing the dye from the DISTAL FIMBRIATED END but when futher pressure the tube opened. the other tube flowed free. After all this the dr said im go to go and could get pregnant. We have tried over 6 months and still not pregnant. He said we should now try IUI and i have researched that IUI isnt for people with tubal damange. Please help. Im soooo lost and dont know what to do. Btw mt husbands sperm count and everything is fine. so the problem is with me!

My biggest piece of advice, (and I know first hand that this is easier said than done), but dont' think about getting pregnant. Enjoy your intimate time with your husband. Although I did not have to undergo any surgery like you had too, it took my husband and I over a year to get pregnant too and it didn't happen until I really really relaxed, ensured my work environment was less stressful and paid more attention to ovulation dates etc. But just really focused on our time together and we got pregnant within that month! I wish you all the best of luck - it is extremely hard to not let it consume your life, but just remember that the world has a plan for each of us and Ill pray that your time is very soon!

You could try IUI, it increases your odds.  It doesn't sound like you have tubal damage, it sounds like you had adhesion damage.  Anything you can do now to increase your chances will keep there from being new scarring and adhesions.  If IUI doesn't help, try Clomid, and if that doesn't help, try IVF if you can.  Good luck!!!!!!
