Hi! unfortunately the odds r very low with iui and it declines with age. ive heard that ivf is a 70% chance its definetly a better science i think i will move on to ivf if i dnt get pg this cycle
My RE has never discussed odds, but I knew that with my age they were much lower, just had no idea it was THAT low!!! How much will your odds increase with IVF?
Hi! Im on my fifth round of 100mg clomid and fourth hcg trigger shot and third iui and believe me it will b all worth it in the end. my Re told me i have a 20% chance so im banking on that if under 35 so dnt give up. i hope we can celebrate our bfp this round. Good luck!
I'm so sorry for what you're going through and i can relate. i have had 2 IUI's and I also did not get pregnant. My dr told me about the percentage rates and they are really not that high. I am 38 and for my age, there is only a 4% chance of getting pregnant each month on my own, IUI only increases that % another 4%. So, i only technically have an 8% chance of getting pregnant and with those odds, how on earth does anyone get pregnant at all?? But plenty of women do. Anyway, I have read a few people on this forum having luck on their 4th and 6th IUI's so maybe you just need a couple more to go? I myself am moving onto IVF. also - try fertilaid for men for your husband. I think it might help increase sperm count. For the 2nd IUI, i had him take fertiliaid and he had over 100 million as opposed to the first IUI where he had 52 million. good luck and hang in there!
try not to have sex till u start to ol an lay on your back during an after about 15 min to give them time to get there
Well, there's really nothing that anyone could tell you... After 4 failed IUIs for me, my doctor told me that, in the great scheme of things, I simply haven't had that many tries... and it JUST didn't happen YET. I decided to move on to IVF at this point, just because the success rates are soooo much higher... plus I have insurance coverage for it. Best of luck and hang in there!
