when can i get pregnant again

I had an ectopic pregnancy about a month ago, fortunatley for me i didn't require any drugs or surgery because my fertility specialist told me I was absorbing the pregnancy on my own. I was very sad and disappointed. I'm 36 so my chances are not as great as a 22 year olds. My question is how long do I have to wait before trying to conceive again and will it be harder the next time I try. Thanks for any responses to my question.

I had a m:c last week i got a clear blue ovaltion kit and did it and had a smily face do u think thats wrong should i wait for my period help

I had an ectopic pg in 07.  Long story, but my hcg was back down to zero by March 07, and I was pg again June 07.  My son is now 9 months old.  

I would say, once your hcg is less than 5, you can start trying again.
