Abdominal Pain in Lower Right - Intermittent

I've been having pain and discomfort in my lower right abdomen and colon area. There has been some feeling of pressure and some sharp pain as well as some dull and a few times prickly pain. It is increased when I have gas bubbles passing through that area. I'll get the pain and then alittle while later, I emit the gas bubble externally. The other times I get the pain is when I'm stressed, believe it or not. I've prodded around in that area and discovered that while I'm waiting for a bowel movement, a section of colon sticks out a bit there. I laid down and pulled in my tummy and it was larger on that side than the other. I haven't seen any blood or mucus in my stool. I have no family history of colon cancer. I did give birth almost a year ago. A few times I've had shooting pain in the vaginal lip on that side. I don't know if it's related or not. I had a PET/CT scan done on almost my entire body - with the exception of my knees, lower legs and feet. They did see a "lighting up" in my abdomen and said it was probably just a bowel movement, though sometimes that was linked to lesions that could be benign or malignant. The oncologist, holistic doctor, and gastroenterologist didn't seem fazed by it at all, though the holistic doctor said we could do a colonoscopy just to make sure. I got the feeling none of them thought it was anything. I've had three CEA tests come back within the normal range of 0-5, though they went up from 2.0 last April, to 4.6 in August, to 5.0 in October. So, I'm befuddled. I keep having intermittent sensations there - either pain or just weird feelings of pressure just before gas bubbles pass through. Could it have anything to do with giving birth? I was able, for a little while to push the bulge of the colon over and it seemed to sink down into a "proper" place. I'm wondering if this qualifies for a $2250 bill from the gastroenterologist (my deductible is 2500, unfortunately and Health Net is raising my monthly premium in March, 08 from $180 a month to $377 a month - I don't even know if a an OVER 100% increase like that is legal) One more thing I feel I need to mention is that a year and a half ago I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer while being pregnant. Is it possible for breast cancer to go to the colon?

Oh, also, I've tried several ways of trying to clear what might be a "blocked" area in my colon. None of them has helped the symptoms except maybe the colon that stuck out seems to do that less now. I tried doing enemas, mild colon cleansing herbs, prune juice, psyllium husk powder with lots of water, and aloe vera juice. Any more suggestions?

Methinks you have a hernia in that area that seems to protrude in your lower abdomen.  Even worse, it may have become strangulated, or trying to do so.  That means that a loop of bowel gets stuck in the weak abdominal muscles and cuts off not only blood circulation, but the passage of stool.  Yeah, this condition definitely "qualifies" for the deductible.  :-)
