Persistent mild pain in upper right hand side of the abdomen

I am 35 year old female. I have persistent mild pain in the upper right-hand side of the abdomen, where the gall bladder is (I think). It stays the same or sometimes becomes moderate but does not go away. Does not seem to have a connection with food. For example, today when I woke up, i could feel it.  I have had an ultrasound and they didn't find any gallstones or anything visible like cyst or inflammation or fluid etc, only mild fatty liver. I am having this pain since 4 months and sometimes I get nausea for a few hours. I also have a low blood count and was put on iron tablets but that was very recent. LFT normal and other blood tests normal. No other symptoms like weight loss or bowels related issues. I do not have a family history of bowel problems/cancers etc. Can this be something serious? worried!!!

may be time to do better tests. ultrasound is like a tier 1 test. it may see some stuff, but it will miss a lot. id get a ct scan or mri of the abdomen done. also look into a hida scan, since it in the area of the gallbladder.
It could also be gas related pain. Do you drink enough water throughout the day? 60-90oz a day.
I'd drink more water (if your not drinking enough) and id go to a health store an pick up a powerful probiotic. My suggestion would be 15-30 billion live cultures. and you want the ones that are refrigerated. I use Mega Foods brand, so if you can find that brand, id go with that.

Hi Thanks for your answer. I went to see a gastroentologist and he didnt seem too concerned but also did not have a clue of what it could be so he asked for an endoscopy. In the UK, you have to wait several week before you will get your appointment and private is way too expensive, if you dont have insurance and very few people have it (NHS!) I am worried whether the symptoms point to something nasty :(

I do drink water and have some probiotics too. Thanks I will look for this brand.
