BOWEL PROBLEMS AFTER FALL

I am a 56 yr. old female. Had a fall almost 4 mos. ago. Broke both wrists, nose, and 2 bones in foot. Did not have any soreness in stomach or trunk area. It seems like ever since then, my bowels have not been normal. I will not go for 4-5 days(unusual for me. Usually everyday person.) Then, when I do go, very often it is VERY rushed, and very watery diarrhea. Even though I had no problems of soreness in that area, Could this problem be due to the fall? Thank you very much for your opinion.

Was notput on antibiotics. I did have a colonoscopy at 51. It was fine except for hemorroids and, something like a long colon. Told it was nothing for worry. Take Culturelle.

If you were put on antibiotics for any of this it may be that it killed off any good bacteria in your digestive tract.  We need this for good digestion, and when it gets depleted, we end up with bowel problems.  Try eating some yogurt everyday enriched with probiotics and see if this helps.  You should see a difference within 2 weeks. Increase your fiber as well.  If none of this helps then I would see a Gastroenterologist for an evaluation.  Did you have your colonoscopy at 50 like we all need to do?  If not, you need to do this as well.  Take care!
