I have been having pain in my upper right abdomen since June. The pain starts as soon as I eat or drink anything. Sometimes it gets so bad that I double over and feel like something is going to explode in there. It feels like a balloon is filling up and it is getting ready to burst. I have been in the ER 3x and all they do for me is pain med and sent me home. My blood work is all normal except once when my white cells were alittle elevated. I have had, a HIDA scan, CT scan with contrast, Small bowel follow through, EGD, EUS, colonoscopy, camera capsule test, and MRI. I had my gall bladder removed in October and it has relieved the intensity of the pain some but I still get the pain. All of these test have not shown anything major. I have a small hiatal hernia, a large diverticulum in the upper portion of my small bowel close to my pancreas. The doctors seem to be at a loss as to why I am in so much pain all the time. Now they are saying it is probably a nerve. Has anyone ever heard of a nerve causing pain after eating or drinking?
