2and half years ago I had Nissen surgery with Hernia repair.since then I have been sick with nausea, extreme bloating and unable to eat solid foods. I have been hospitalized 3 times with severe stomach pain and unable to vomit with blockage  and extreme gas. I now am chocking on food and reguratating undigested food. as well as fluids not going down and coming right back up. On Reglan with no relief and dont think i can take another nasogastric tube for a week in hospital for the fourth time. Thank You for your expert opinion on this matter.

Babs, I'm by no means an expert, but some people do suffer adverse effects after a Nissen and in some cases the wrap has to be loosened a bit, or the esophagus needs to be stretched. Other people also complain about a 'bloating syndrom' that occurs after the fundoplication in some individuals. Have you been back to your doc? That is really your best option.
