Experience pain as food enters stomach

I'm a 46 year old male.  Two days ago I noticed that after I swallow food it becomes painful at the point where the food enters my stomach.  It's as if the opening to my stomach has become constricted.  I also feel pain ( but not as much ) when I swallow fluids;  I feel some sort of constriction and pain as fluid enters my stomach.  Any ideas on what this can be?

Hi, I'm experiencing similar problems right now.  My advice would be to see a gastroenterologist as soon as you can.  You could have GERD (acid reflux) which can cause problems.  You need to be on a antacid like Previcid if you do have it.  I just had a endoscopy (upper GI)...it is painless and simple and will tell them exactly what is going on.  Keep me posted.  Good luck!

IHi, I'm a nutritionist.  f this persists, make sure you see a doctor.  If a regular doctor can't help you, go see a holistic doctor that does a test called a Heidelberg Gastrogram (google this).  Even if you have fly out of state to have it done.  Good luck!
