GI help

I was diagnosed with H-pylori. I started a heavy antibiotic regimen for 21 days.Still had a few flare ups here and there. Now after about 4-6weeks later the symptoms are back. Spontanious nausea, stomach pain. Pepto usually would work but nothings working.Has the infection reoccured or do I have an ulcer?

I don't have that, was tested, but did have SIBO.  HD two rounds of Xifaxin.
I was miserable and had constant nausea.  Sought a second opinion at Stanford.  Aside from a seizure med, I didn't take, she suggested eating Activia daily. I had tried 3 other probiotics that made me sicker.  Acupuncture and drinking ginger and in honey during the day.  One of my acupuncturists sells packets of crystallized ginger and honey you just mix in water.  This has helped me more than anything!  You might give it a try fir the nausea.

Hi, unless tests are done, it is difficult to say if the ulcer or the infection has recurred. In addition to active therapy you have to follow lifestyle modifications to prevent recurrence of ulcers. To reduce acid levels try good life style measures. Some guidelines are eat frequent small meals- 5 to 6, instead of 3 large meals. Avoid oily and spicy food. In general, avoid all fatty foods. Cessation of smoking helps to heal ulcer. Avoid consumption of alcohol. Take the last meal of the day early and let there be a time gap between the last meal and bedtime. If you are overweight, try to reduce weight. Adapt a regular exercise regime, which will improve bowel movements as well as relieve any tensions or stress. Avoid all pain killers like NSAIDs which will aggravate your problem. Regards.
