How to deal with stomach pain caused by vertigo?

I'm writing this in behalf of my mother. About a year ago she was diagnosed with vertigo, after suffering severe dizziness and headache. They put her on meds, I'm not sure which ones. She also had a stomach pain problem whenever she got it. Just yesterday, she was taken to the hospital again, had blood tests and a ct scan done on her, their answers were really vague, they say it's just vertigo and they don't see anything else wrong. They advised her to visit a neurologist, and so she did. He didn't really give her an answer, just prescribed more meds, specifically, Vertigo-Vomex, Rizatriptan/Genepharm and Enlift Escitalopram. She's also been taking Zantac on her own for the stomach pain, but it doesn't seem to affect her any more, and the pain persists. Any advice? I guess i should post this in a neurology community as well, but the stomach pain right now is what's bothering her most.

Okay, this is good information.  Her issues are probably related to mine and that IS treatable.  Have her try this reverse ear pop that an Ear Nose and Throat doctor had me do.  She holds her nose. Then blows. Her ears will pop. Do it over and over. This helps clear the tubes, open them back up.  See if this helps.  She can also take an over the counter antihistamine like allegra (look for generic name). Then if all else fails, she can try pseudoephedrine (which in the US, you have to ask a pharmacist for but it IS over the counter.  They keep it behind the pharmacist counter and will give it to you but they limit how much someone can have as it is used to make a street drug.  Fine when used properly).  Anyway, those things really helped me and once the vertigo was cleared up, the stomach issues were too.

So, I have had vertigo and it's wicked.  I mean, BAD.  The stomach issue you are speaking of is nausea? That's what I had and is what is common with vertigo.  I had nausea to the point of vomiting.  Stomach pain and vertigo are less likely associated.

My vertigo was caused by inner ear issues.  My tube, Eustachian tube deep in my ear is dysfunctional and closes in.  It causes the dizziness, ear fullness, etc.  Lots of dizziness comes from ear issues.  I treated it with reverse ear pops, antihistamines and pseudoephedrine (just taken a couple of times).  Meneire's is another thing that can cause chronic vertigo.

So what kind of pain is your mom having--- actual stomach pain or nausea.

Something in between, both nausea and pain, she feels like vomiting sometimes but she hasn't actually done it, yet
Her vertigo was caused by something related to her ears as well, something affected her sense of balance and perception. They didn't really give her a reason this time, they just repeated that she has vertigo and headaches..
