Is it normal to find it hard to swallow after upper endoscopy?????????

Hi
I just got an endoscopy done today morning. I'm feeling fine, except I'm feeling a lot of dis comfort in the throat. It hurts when I try to swallow even my own saliva. Is that normal??????

Yes, it is definately normal. I have had a few, including one with an ultrasound. (Bigger tube. Additional tube actually.) It will last maybe a few days, but will go away. Mine usually goes away with 3 days. You should see a change in discomfort every day. Like gemini said, just stay away from any foods that bother your throat.
Hope ya get to feeling better!

yes, your throat could be sore for a while from the tube used.  Drink plenty of cool liquids and avoid anything spicy or acidic.
