I hop by now you have seen a DR who has figured this out but if not you REALLY need to see a Gastroenteroligist. Sounds like you could have a bleeding ulcer or even celiac disease. Definitely need to see a specialist. It could be more serious that just gas pains. Good Luck

I sort of think if you haven't had either an ultrasound or a scan, either a CAT scan or an MRI scan, maybe you should think about having one of those done, with the ultrasound the cheapest but least revealing. See, the black stool sort of bothers me because it can indicate bleeding in the small intestine, which is not good. Of course, the stool can look real dark when it's just hard stool. Hard stool indicates some constipation, which extra water, fiber, and exercise can clear that up. And constipation can cause gas pains, which can hurt a whole lot. Those would be my ideas.
