MUCUS & BLOOD IN STOOL

My son is 11months old now. When he was 4 months old this problem started. We consulted several paediatrician, Surgens and other doctors. Different doctors gave him different anti-biotics. But still not cured. One fine morning he was passing only Blood (like WATER) The very next day we took him to India for a better treatment and showed him to another paediatician. He also gave baby 2 weeks atibiotics. At last he asked us to show him to Gastoentologist and they did Colonoscopy (Inserting camera into the stomach) and found there are few boils inside him stomach and send it for biopsy. Thank GOD the report came and nothing to worry.

Even then the docotors were not very sure why it was happening. They said it can be lactose intolerance and asked me to avoid all the dairy products (not sure) and they prescribed digetive medicine for 3 months. And now he completed 4 months but still there is mucus in his stool. But no Blood. I don't know what to do. His birth weight was 3.5kg and now he is 11 moths old and only 7kg. Even when he was 6 months old it was the same weight. He does't gain wait. He looks very skilly and small. Pleeeaaasse... help me what is the problem with my child. pls..... reply to me on  neha.***@****

Get your baby in to see a good pediatric gastroenterologist, and let him guide you from there..  Did the doctor only do an upper scope of his stomach?  He needs one of his bowel.  I would also see an endocrinologist.  Why has your pediatrician allowed this to continue?  Does he eat enough? Is he developing at the correct speed for his age?  I would seek out a second pediatrician also for help, I think your current who is failing you and your son.  Cincinnati Childrens Hospital located in Cincinnati Ohio has the best pediatric unit in the country for gastroenterology.  If you could take him there, they can and will help him.  They can also arrange a place for you to stay with him.  This is what I would do.  People travel from all over the country to get help at this hospital when having no help, or answers with their child.  I can get you all the information if you are interested.
