Mucus in stool?

I have another thread on here where I had some concerns. The link is below.

I am now starting to notice that there is mucus in my stool...a lot of mucus. I just need to know from before i get a colonoscopy, if it is likely that i have colon cancer? I am extremely terrified of this.

I've had rectal bleeding, but I believe it to be from hemorrhoids because I've had an extremely itchy anus. It's always bright red blood. I have myelf convinced that i have colon cancer though

Hi,  colon cancer symptoms include a change in your bowel habits, including diarrhea or constipation or a change in the consistency of your stool, rectal bleeding or blood in your stool and unexplained weight loss or fatigue. So, primarily mucus secretion alone is more common with polyps. The colonoscopy will help confirm this. So, please dont worry. Regards.
