Need urgent help

I am a 30 year old female. Everything was perfect until last night when I had a medicine and immediately post that started feeling as if something was stuck in my throat. I drank a LOT of water.. Around 1 ltr or more but I still have that feeling. There is no pain and I can swallow easily without any hindrance. I also feel as if cough is accumulating in my throat as I need to gag often. I do not have any heartburn or gas kind of feeling.
What can this be?

agreed. even the smallest amount of allergic reaction to the throat is noticeable.

It maybe a mild reaction (allergic?) to the medication. Be sure to touch base with your doctor or his office asap, just to be sure.
