Severe lower abdominal pain??

I have had this sharp stabbing pain in my lower abdominal area off and on for 6 months now. It feels like I am being stabbed with a hot knife and most the time it is constant, with once in awhile bad stabbing "attacks". All CT, X-Rays blood and urine tests are negative. Same with barium xrays, colonoscopy, upper gi etc. I have been to the ER so many times when these attacks happen and get no answers.

My questions are, what could this be??  I have done the diet change, lower caffiene, alcohol intake etc and no change. Its not my appendix, and I have no gallbladder. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have no clue if they tesyed me for Celiac Disease?? As I am sitting here, I am contemplating going back to the ER, it feels like spasm's with sharpness. I see the surgeon who did away with my gallbladder on friday, and my GI dr the following week and in between will be with my primary. The stabbing went away for about 3 days and is now back with a vengeance, I ate my last Vicodin and have been on Dicyclomine and some kind of heartburn med that does not work. It gets so bad that I have liteally curled up in a ball on the bathroom floor and constantly feel nautious and have also had a horrible headache since this started.
One more thing I should add, these same symptoms happened back in 2002 and had all the same tests as now and all were negative. Back then the symptoms went away after a couple weeks and didnt come back until last September. When they came back, it only lasted about 3 weeks and went away until January and this time they are worse and stay. Whatever this is, it has made my life a living hell. Can't do things with the kids or wife, wont get out of the house for fear of onset of bowell eruptions, and also really dont feel like being in public when I need to curl up in a ball hurting.

Have you been tested for Celiac Disease?  It's not being able to tolerate anything with Gluten in it.  My daughter has been tested and it was negative - but I didn't know if you have had this done or not.  You may want to try it.

My daughter is 12 and has battled with this for 3 years. She had an appendectomy.  The pain went away for a while. Then returned with avengence.  She was then diagnosed with a duodenul ulcer - after 9 days at Childrens.  She has continued to have this pain off and on.  1 year later (months ago - it was back full force she has had many smaller tolerable bouts) she was hospitalized for 4 days and diagnosed with mesenteric adenitis. "inflamation of the lymph nodes in the abdomen - often mistaken for an appendicits due to the severe pain".  I realize I am not providing an answer for you - but I'm hoping if you find out something you will share your information with me.  We have consulted a hemotologist/oncologist - per our GI specialist's suggestion - all tests normal.  We are obviously very grateful for that - but it is getting very difficult not knowing any answers and not being able to help her with her pain.  Good luck to you and I hope you find some answers soon.
