okay.. thanks for all the information.. it doesn't really hurt that much, just sometimes. My dad said it could be caused by a bad digestive system or sth like that. Now i'm feeling pain at the left side after urination for no reasons.

btw still could be food allergy/drug allergy like celiac and allergic reaction to medicine and such..so that's another idea..usually it doesn't bring on super bad pain but it would bring on cramping and IBS-D.

No problem :)

yeah like for example when my mom had gallbladder attacks she would feel pain in her back between her shoulder blades...When I got a HIDA scan I remember the tech doing the test told me "nobody has the same symptoms, some people have very little or no symptoms with gallstones/gallbladder disease" but yeah it can be on your left side as well.  When a stone is passing it can cause pancreatitis as well so you might be feeling pain over there..or it's reffered pain (basically if something is swollen on the right side it can cause pain on the left by irritating other organs and such)

so it's very possible it's gallstone esp. since it comes on after you eat.  It still could be a ulcer like I said, many types of medications can cause ulcers and such..what was the medicine?  Usually steroids/pain killers/asprin are the worst ones for the stomach.  I wouldn't panick about cancer yet, but going to a gi specialist or normal doctor and some blood tests might show elevated liver enzymes which would suggest gallbladder problems or testing for h.ploryi which would suggest ulcer.  An endoscope/ultrasound would help see if there's a stone or ulcer.

Anyway like lisa just said if the pain get's super bad don't delay and get to an ER room..it might be pancreatitis or you might have a gallbladder stone stuck..or a bleeding ulcer.  Either way you should seek help asap if it gets scary pain bad.

Hi,

It sounds like gall bladder problems to me... I had the same type of pains/attacks.  The pain always started when I ate, or very soon thereafter.... It was below my right ribcage, and spread into my back.  At first, I thought it was a problem with my lungs, because my back hurt so much!  I got no relief from the pain in any position... I went to the ER during one of my attacks, and they confirmed that I had gallstones, by doing a simple ultrasound.  I would suggest that next time that you are in pain, go to ER.  A lot of conditions can be missed if tests are not performed at the time that you are in pain ..... best of luck!!!

Thanks.. But does the pain which is caused by gall bladder problem spread to the left side and affect the whole abdomen also?
By the way, do u know anything about stomach ulcer? it's due to the medicine which was given was too strong. Do u have any info regarding this problem? I've searched through the internet but it's not much of help. I heard that it might never recover or might turn into cancer. Would you mind explaining or giving any info about it? I would really appreciate your help. =)

you're welcome :)

actually that suggests still a galllbladder issue.. basically the gallbladder helps break down fatty foods or oily foods...but when it's really mesed up - any food and it'll bring on pain, especially if you have gallstones.

It could be infection..food poisioning..or ulcer..there's a few it could be but the pain in the upper right after eating suggests a gall stone.  Probably need a ultrasound to check.  I'd avoid fatty/oily foods as much as possible in the meantime.

Well couple of thing it could be.. something to do with your gallbladder is the first thing that pops up.  If this is the first time you've had a pain there, you could be passing a gallstone..

It *could* be an ulcer in the small intestine right after the stomach area..

Anyway with those symptoms my advice is to take fats out of your diet asap, and avoid oily foods (two things the gallbladder works real hard on) to give your gallbladder a break..I wouldn't lift or do any heavy exercising for a few days and then maybe drink some apple juice (some people say it's a good home remedy to flush out the liver/gallbladder)

if all fails..still pain i'd get into a doctor but you're looking at doing a blood test for possibleulcer, ultrasound looking for stones or HIDA scan looking at how well the gallbladder is functioning.

Good luck!
