Pain in my left side under my ribs

Hi.  I recently went to the ER for left chest and left side pain under my ribs via the emergency squad, I could not make it to the car and collapsed after taking one step. My blood pressure was 160/98 when they took it at the house. The ER ordered me to have an ultrasound of my gallbladder and liver.  The results were normal.  At the ER they did blood work and those results were normal as well.  The pain finally subsided in my chest and is now settled on my LEFT side under my ribs, right below my breast.  It hurts more when I bend over and when I left things. The pain is about a 4 on a scale onf 1-10.  At the ER they gave me a shot of Toradol.  It relieved some of my pain but it was still hurting.  The doctor at the ER gave me a prescription for Prevacid and I have to take Mylanta 4 times a day.  I was having severe heartburn and acid coming up in my throat prior to my episode.  I was also nauseaus alot.  I was just wondering if somebody could help me because I am still having a lot of pain and I can not see the doctor for another month.

I'm so glad I found your comment. I have been experiencing the exact same symptoms for almost two weeks and the doctors cannot determine what is wrong. The pain at times is excruciating, while other times it's not as bad but it is always there in the exact same location you described. I had my appendix removed years ago. I was originally sent to ER, have since seen my doctor twice and now am being referred to a gastrointestinal specialist. I've also had multiple tests and am scheduled for a PIPIDA Scan next week. I just want the pain, indigestion, diarrhea and acie reflux to go away! I can't eat anything because everything send me to the bathroom and makes me nauseous. Very frustrating! I'm hoping the PIPIDA scan will reveal something.

It could be your appendix or your pancreas(spelling?).
