Pain on the right side under the ribs

I have been having a pain just under my right rib cage.  Does not hurt when I am just sitting still.  If I lean forward or sometimes breath in and out it hurts. I actually can put my finger on the spot that hurts. Tender to touch. I don't have insurance and lost my job Christmas Eve, going to the Doctor and cost of test would really be hard right now. Any idea what could be going on?

Just under your ribs on the right side could signal gallbladder issues.  Avoid greasy fatty foods and see if it improves.  I don't get the typical gallbladder attacks but rather pain under my rib on the right, shoulder and upper back discomfort.  Good luck

Oh, goodness, right lower quandrant pain is a broad discritption and without proper testing could really be anything from bad digestion and gas to aat worst appendicitis. It could be nothing, yes, and may go away on it's own. But if it's something more, only tests will provide answers. My only suggestion is if the pain gets worse, or lasts for longer than a week, try and either scrounge the money for urgent care, about $100, or go to the ER, where they can often give you information about CMS-a county insurance that is free and if applied for, can usually pay for your visit. Listen to your body and be carefull. Best wishes.
