Help me

I've had constant burping/belching/farting for over 3 months now non stop! It's so bad till it caused me 10 visits to the ER thinking it was something with the heart but EKG, xray, bloodwork & CT Scan came back fine.  I've also developed severe anxiety/depression/panic attacks because of this as well as a 24+ lb weight lost because I'm afraid to eat because no food or activity triggers it plus I developed an addiction to google (which I'm working on) where I look up all ingredients of a product prior to eating thinking those (newly found by me) additives are why I'm feeling this way.  I don't have insurance so I've been seeing a community health doctor but she did ultrasounds blood work ups and X-rays and found infinite gas with no diagnosis but a refferal to a GI ASAP!  I cannot afford on at this time so I am just waiting stuck in bed where I only move to use the lavatory and go to the doctor as these are the only places I can kind of edge the anxiety/heart flutters to a minimum. Oh I didn't mention prior to this I only passed a bowel movement once a month and that once lasted about an 1 1/2 hr with vomiting, bad stomach cramps, diarrhea, and cold sweat.  I also (the past 2 mths since I've been feeling this way) get very weak and have heart flutters and a very heavy heartbeat when I stand up and walk for just a short distance or when I take a shower etc. I also get "brain zaps" but this could be due to me no longer taking opiates (prescribed) after 2 years and I did not abuse believe it or not I took the daily prescribed amount and I took it orally no other way.  I am a 30 year old female

Thyroid came back good!  Been having numbness/tingling on left side (mostly) face, lips, arm, hand, leg & feet. Nerve conduction shows carpal tunnel (both hands) & tarsal tunnel in both feet but doc says this has nothing to do with face/lip numbness/tingling!!!? I'm still up for EMG, stress test & MRI of the brain as CT Scan of brain came back normal! I am so confused or should I say the "doctors" are so confused! I don't know if any of this is in relation to each other bit I know one thing, everything has been happening all together one after another!  I'm going to continue testing but I'm letting go and letting GOD!

Have they done a complete thyroid test on you. TSH, T3, T4... I am hypothyroid and had so many issues with my thyroid. Sometimes you can go for months and tests still can come out negative. You can go to the thyroid area of medhelp and post thyroid tests and some of the experts will tell you what they think and will tell you what tests you need to ask your doctor for. They are good helped me when my thyroid went crazy in April. I had my doctor do T3, T4, ferritin ( iron levels) B12, vitamin D3. Just a suggestion Check your Gallbladder. If you have a problem try not to get that out. Had mine out with nothing but problems! Make some Marshmallow root tea with Chamomile and slippery elm. It sure helped my stomach! loon56

Thanks Looney56 I have already stopped meat excluding a little healthy prepared chicken every now & then no beans or legumes no fast food & no dairy no sodas only sugarless apple juice & water & honeydew, cantaloupe & watermelon.  I might eat a few gluten free cookies!  I had the endoscopy done came back fine but couldn't do the colonoscopy because the 1 gal of poop medicine/water didn't make me go its just floating around in my belly making weird noises for 3 days now! I'm so confused & I think my GI & PCP are just as confused as me!  Oh yeah, the PCP did a thyroid test thru blood work, it came back negative, was there a different type of test I shoulda asked for?

Make sure you have your thyroid checked. I would get flutters and heart issues that sound just like you and it was my hypothyroid. Constipation, and brain zaps. Tell your doctors to check TSH, and all thyroid related issues. Try to get off dairy, limit meat or get off, no legumes and no gluten. Do no fast food or processed. Do this to limit food allergies. Hope this helps loony56

Thanks for the response. I finally got into a GI and am scheduled for a Endoscopy & Colonoscopy this week.  I've also had the stool sample test awaiting the results meanwhile starting to eat more but my weight loss is at 40 lbs now from 24 lbs in just 2 weeks!  I'm just praying and persevering until something gives.  I've been going places and doing activities vs stating in bed depressed & in pain, trying to get my HDL up (it's at 30) but thank God my LDL is fine!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi, frequent burping can happen with consumption of excess sugars, indigestion and aerophagia. It could also be due to Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), malabsorption, inflammatory bowel diseases and various infections of the colon. Anything that irritates the under surface of the diaphragm can cause frequent burping, like liver abscess, hepatitis or peritonitis. Blood tests will help detect infections, besides stool examination which will reveal fat malabsorption.  Colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy are procedures which are used to study the whole colon for infections and inflammations. Bacterial overgrowth is tested with a breath test. Please discuss these issues with your doctor when you happen to meet him. Regards.

I forgot to mention I have pain in my left side under my ribs feels like veins broken or something I can't sleep on that side and I've slept on the right side so much I've hurt that shoulder and my left leg constantly goes numb and feels heavy as well as the right and left arms which makes it very difficult to sleep because they are what we call "dead" so I wake to find a new position or I wake from anxiety attacks in my sleep.  I also feel this pain on my left side of my chest when I get any form of excitement, or if I tell or talk too long or to loud? I know it sounds weird which is why my regular doc probably sent me to see a psychiatrist which he said I didn't need to be there I needed to see a GI ASAP cause he could clearly see and hear that I had severe gas or something which is near my heart and any person in their right mind would be nervous or develop anxiety feeling this
