Please help me

I have been diagnosed with having gastritis about a month ago after having an EGD with gastric biopsies. The report says I have mild non-specific gastritis in a bed of "excessive stromal fibrosis". Does anybody know what "excessive stromal fibrosis"? Please help.

I think Celiac would be my best idea.  It also could just be idiopathic gastritis.

That's very unfortunate that they didn't take a small bowel biopsy.  Have you had any blood testing to check for celiac disease?

I'm on a bland diet. I only had a stomach biopsy.

Stromal fibrosis is kind of like scar tissue.

Have you tried eliminating anything from your diet?  Did you have a biopsy of your small intestine during the EGD to look for celiac disease?

Have been on prilosec then protonix for a year and a half before being diagnosed with gastritis. Symptoms were still there while taking those. Now  I am on nexium. Started two days ago. No improvement. Do you know what "stromal fibrosis" is?

Well this definitely could be GERD.  Have you tried any treatments for this?

You can't diagnose/rule out GERD from an EGD.  Do you drink any alcohol or take any NSAID's?

My symptoms have included nausea, acid reflux (not diagnosed with GERD confirmed on EGD) , constipation, epigastric pain, indigestion, bitter taste in mouth, bloating, loss of appietite, and fullness in the upper abdomen. Symptoms have last the past two years, had gallbladder removed 1 week after the EGD and symptoms didn't improve. Mr Dr. who did the EGD is just a surgeon and didnt know why I have this and just really hasn't been helpful. I just don't know why I have gastritis and I want to know what "stromal fibrosis" is. It's been driving me nuts.

Welcome to the gastroenterology community!  What this implies depends mostly on your symptoms and the reason you got the endoscopy.  What did your doctor say about this?
