Post Gallbladder non-consistent bowel movements

Hello everyone!
I had my gallbladder removed 1 year and 1 month ago.  Ever since then, by bowel movements have been irregular.  I go several times a day (sometimes 3 x) but no matter what I try they just are not consistent. They go from diarrhea to what I call a semi-diarrhea…. Never solid or “normal”.
Anyone else having this problem? Did you cure it? How did you cure it?  Any help is appreciated.
Bob R.  Baltimore, MD.

I have been taking two Metemucil every morning, and that has made me regular with solids bowel movements, i didnt have diarrhea after mine but more of the constipation problem, my surgeon told me metemucil for either way daily will help regulate you.  Maybe give this a try, its either one tea spoon in the morning of the powder or 2 pills.  Hope you feel better, its only been a month for me, but i feel pretty good, i take those pills, plus digestove enzymes if im eating something that isnt so healthy.  Are you eating alot of greasy or fatty foods?  This could be contributing to the problem?

Hi Bob,
I also had my gallbladder removed a year ago. I still also am like you very irregular. I also have pain in my diaphram area and a feeling of being bloated all the time. When I go to the bathroom sometimes I have very yellowish stools that almost stain the toilet. I dont think my surgery helped me a bit. In fact I think I have been worse. Best of luck to you to. Hope you get better. It is very frustrating.
