What is the standard of care for DOSAGE of URSODIOL for PSC?

Thank you.   I asked the question because a former physician had me on a lower dose and am interested in knowing whether it is better to be on the lower dose or the dose I am on now.  I was at approx. 86 Kg. on a dose of 300 mg twice per day and have been moved to 500 mg twice per day.   I would point out that I am aware the studies conclude conflicting things on this issue, which may render the ultimate answer not within reach.  
  I think you again for your answer.  At your rate, I am still some 290 mg under what that dose recommendation is per day--if the 15 mg is used.  If the 13 mg is used, I would be 118 mg under dose per day.

Hi, ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) is given at a dose of 13–15 mg/kg/day. According to studies done, long-term high-dose UDCA therapy is associated with improvement in serum liver tests in PSC but does not improve survival and was associated with higher rates of serious adverse events. Please discuss this with your doctor am sure he will provide further assistance. Regards.
