Scared about pancreas/liver

Hello,

This is my first post.  I'm a 40yr old male.  I've been having digestive/stomach issues for about 2 months now.  My main concern now is that my stools have been yellow/pale consistently for the past week now, and have varied only slightly from yellow to light brown before that during the last 2mo.  I also have been struggling to maintain my current weight (last time I weighed myself I was 188lbs; before all of this started I weighed around 197).  I don't have any significant pain.  I am often gassy.  I have been diagnosed with hiatal hernia.  I do have times when I feel a bit weak.  My appetite isn' that great, but I force myself to eat to maintain my weight.  I've had 2 blood tests done in late Jan, including liver and pancreas levels, that came back normal.  I've had a colonoscopy and upper endoscopy (EGD) that came back normal.  I've also had a CT scan (with contrast) of my abdomen and pelvis as well as a HIDA scan - both also normal.  Even after all this testing, I still have no answers as to what may be going on, I'm getting really scared.  I have a regular apt this week with my primary care physician (routine physical), but I think he's at a point where he doesn't believe there's anything seriously wrong with me.  I also recently made an apt with my GI Dr (same Dr that did the colonoscopy/endoscopy) to see if he can offer any incite into what I may be experiencing.  I guess my question to any of you who may be going through something similar is - what other tests are there that can rule out pancreas and liver problems.  I'm scared to death that it may be cancer.  Please help me - I don't know what to do.

Thanks for listening.

I would not worry about cancer yet.  It could be something as simple as IBS or a bacteria.  Have they done any stool tests?

There is a test called an eus that call often detect minimal changes associated with chronic pancreatitis.   Chronic pancreatitis can be around for years before the changes will show up on a ct scan.  If you get this test I would go a doctor a good dr.  Many will miss these small changes and may not diagnose you if you do have the disease.

Forgot to mention that as a result of the endoscopy, the GI Dr has ruled out Celiac disease.
